australia v india

We could ALL sit there and give incidents we don't like from OPPOSITION Teams - Very Easily !!!

No offence intended but excuse me if i take most of you say with a pinch of salt......you are after all a Kiwi

1 - Brett Lee - doing his 'triple punch the shit outa someone' routine when he gets them out. What's that for? We're playing sport here. I'll never forget Lee doing that one day when India were about 500-3 and he got Laxman out for about 140 or something - Lee had been smacked all over the place and had about 2-170 of 30 overs and he carried on like he'd just bowled him first ball. It was ridiculous and Ganguly made a point of adeclaring once lee had cracked 200 in his bowling figures!!

i respect everyones opinions on here even yours al but wouldnt you enjoy getting out a bloke that just smashed you around the park with ease?id celebrate like he did also

i dont rate ganguly but i rate tendulker very highley he lives up to his nickname the little master!

cheers

Also had to laugh seeing McGrath in tv tonight saying how Harbajan was a bit of a talker - will never forget him going off at Sarwan in the Windies!!!

Don't forget that Sarwan was alleged to have said something about McGrath's wife....and he would have been even more sensitive at the time because she was battling/recovering from cancer....

I assume the "triple punch" you are referring to is actually "The chainsaw"...he "starts" the chainsaw after knocking someones stumps (ie. timber) over!!!!

Come on ljandkg your arguments are falling over quicker than the New Zealand batsman in the recent Chappell-Hadlee series!!!!

I understand how much people hate seeing Australia win all the time...I really do....but it should be incentive for every other team to try harder, not to change the rules to bring us back to the pack.

You only have to see how the English team celebrated after beating us in 2005...it can be done...you have to work bloody hard....but the victory is sweet!!!

At the end of the day... players lying, not walking, claiming catches off the ground, umpires fining players for dissent... they all originate from the fact that umpire decisions are total crap... thats why players have to go behind them and forge agreements to be honest.. now ponting turned on his deal because of a sight of victory... if the decisions are all fair and square, indisputable, then there won't be any of this crap going on... the players will have nothing to complain about when the decision is confirmed on the big screen 20 times when they are sent on their way

Clayton - If u have been smashed round the park for 200 runs by 4 different guys who got 100's - u lost the battle that day and should show some humility. Otherwise u are gonna see batsmen start doing fist pumps when they smack u!!
If I get a guy out who has belted me I'm relieved not acting out like I'm punching his noggin into the dirt!!

Trust me I'm very much aware of NZ's recent record vs Oz but that's not what motivated me to write what I wrote last night. I just think when Steve Waugh was captain they sorted a fair bit of stuff out behaviour wise. I don't think it's gotten better with Ponting captain.

There no comments about clarke and his catching philiosophy fellas - u want Aussie kids playing like that?? Your thought on that?

Also Allstar - I know exactly what McGrath said to Sarwan, it's not for public display but involved his captain and a crude sexual act, when Sarwan gave it back McGrath couldn't handle it, even if his wife was crook, Sarwan may not have known that - His display was disgusting and the last incident before that code of behaviour was drawn up I believe.

By the way - I was referring to the 'chainsaw'!!! That was pretty funny!!! Always thought he was punching guys!

Richo I could list a half dozen incidents only involving NZ in OZ that were crooked but there's no point....I've said my piece - you're right India do throw their toys more than other teams but I just think the Aussie team need to pull their heads in a bit and most of the OZ media (not former players who are hauling out the 'hard but fair' line) agree

By the way - I was referring to the 'chainsaw'!!! That was pretty funny!!! Always thought he was punching guys!

And thus your credibility to comment on matters to do with the Australian cricket team is in tatters!!

It goes to show how much "perceptions" (whether right or wrong) and mis-information has to do with forming peoples opinions. Hence why propaganda during wartime is such a powerful weapon.

Haha, your right just checked that, why not play a 5 test series, only playing 4 is stupid......should have played india once more instead of playing sri lanka in those two crappy tests in november.......

I do agree to a point (Not forgetting I am VERY Pro Australia and VERY Biased lol) One thing I saw and didn't like was when Brett Lee got the 1st wicket of the Indian 2nd Innings......he put his hands in the air and then just nodded his head turning around to all the parts of the crowd (Like yup another one for me) - I didn't like that celebration

I don't have ANY problem with his chainsaw celebration

Lol! I like how the Aussie media has to dredge up something from 25 years ago to try to justify it's team's behaviour in the last test. Maybe next time a kiwi gets a rough decision in Oz, they'll bring out the "underarm" footage... The Dhoni "catch", was bad for sure, but the Harbajhan "wicket" did look like the English keeper came very close to catching and stumping, even in slow-motion, so if I was Harbajhan I probably would've stayed for a but just to get it confirmed a bit beyond doubt. The language was uncalled for on his part, though... BTW, I do agree with the "2 wrongs don't make it right", I just can't stand people trying to excuse the Aussies behaviour cos of something that happened last year, or 25 years ago. If Australia wants to call itself the world champs, they can start behaving like world champs. I find it ammusing that most Aussies seem to dislike Lleyton Hewitt and Mundine, when the Aussie cricket team is basicly 11 Hewitts and Mundines, except for the fact that at least Hewitt and Mundine are up front for their cockiness and don't make excuses for it...

i think it was more to show that gavascar??? wasnt exactly a holy cricketer either after his remarks on the situation.

and the harbajan singh video looked pretty bad to say the least. he would of heard the sound though. ball onto stump and ball into glove doe not sound anything alike

Correct DP but the first two incidents are only from 2006!!!

No-ONE is indicating two wrongs don't make a right Axeman, the whole article is to show the Indians they are HYPOCRITES !!!

......and maybe they shouldn't throw stones in glass houses !!!

axeman - the difference between you and us is we will admit that our team can get a bit over th etop - but we will defend it.... but acknowledge fault... you are clutching at straws thinking harbajahn wasn't out the keepers glove was NOWHERE near the ball... I'm sorry but a team cannot complain about the same sort of behaviour they exhibit.... and you can justify that as much as you want... but its still the same thing... frankly I wouldn't even complain about that... I don't complain about what happens ont he cricket field - cos it happens.... you wouldn't say ANYTHING about this if AUstralia was acting this way and lost every test frankly yer just a sore loser. The fact that backs this up is your inability to accept that your team India is being a tad hypocritical. You have to defend them by saying it happened in 2006 - fact is INdia and Pakistan are two teams guilty of over appealing... thats been going on for years heaven forbid australia finally catch on....

Your kidding aren't you ?!?
The more BS you dribble like that the more it consolidates the fact that you have no idea !!!
(IMHO)
