Collecting in its purest and most simple form.

Post your favorite pic from a common card any year any set. Dunk, funny pic or just a pic that stands out to you.

I'll start off with the real reason Dominique Wilkins didn't make the greatest 50 players! Look at the face on his drives! Once OK but twice????

Keep it to one or two though.

Here are my current two favourite basic (non GU'd/Patch/Auto) cards.

03-04 UD SP Authentics - Allen Iverson - SP Spectaculars Gold Parallel #4/25

05-06 UD Reflections - Allen Iverson - Gold Parallel #1/5

I love the SP Spectaculars because of the simple yet eye catching card design. Dark, bold & gold writing. The reflections is simply beautiful because of the umm.. reflections?

Here are two of my favourite cards.
These would have to be the BEST porn star lookalike cards I have ever seen. Steve Kuberski would have to be my favourite though - just cos he looks like a bigger sleaze!

My favourite 2 current common cards. Selective picture with a fitting background makes me like these two alot!

Cant scan right now, but thought i'd list my favourite common card or current. Alonzo Mourning 1992-93 topps gold rookie card.

this was the ONE card i wanted so much as a little kid, as i idolized Alonzo, when i finally got my hands on it, it sold for about 50 cents.

The 1996 Hardwood Leader of Alonzo Mourning was my 2nd favourite, same design as the 'Nique Chad showed in the first post.

It's funny, because i loved those commons and thought they were so cool (as i never had #ed cards, gu's or auto's) and then once i got back into collecting, i realised that they weren't worth anything, despite the smoothness and amazing pictures of the cards!! Geez did i realise i'd been ripped off buying 50x Alonzo/Reggie/Marion/Marbury commons from Authentics in Midcity Centre for $1 each!!

as others have said love the old skybox cards, the Pippen dunk speaks for its self, shaq face looks quite funny on this card and just love those Jordan cards.
