geez id have been doing my best to get it on the sly too! we all would have..anyone who says they wouldnt is a liar! fair to say that the guy going for it was probably jrsmith_23? but as ive stated before to cobretti, its just a jordan...i like his numbering better as his is the jersey of the best bulls player to ever play the game, none of this over rated 23 rubbish!

This is just an update. Received my first credible offer through a re-seller/ agent. Even though I am only getting 60% of the final amount, it is still an extremely mind-blowing amount. As a courtesy to all OCT members who have supported me or this site, I am currently open to offers from OCT members. PM works best for me but would ignore all low-ball offers. As much as I would love the card to remain with OCT members or even in Australia, this card is most probably heading overseas. I have about 2 days to decide on my only current credible offer so please do not hesitate to act. Thanks for looking. Cheers Alex

Just throwing this out there, it may be worthwhile waiting to see what the other card Jordan23 is selling goes for?
Its a risk but with MJ's 90's stuff still going strong, you wouldn't want to sell yourself short buy taking one of the first offers that come along.
The only risk is that if it sells for less than expected your current offer may fall through?
Just a thought!

Thanks for the advice. I had the same thought as well but my credible offer is not wanting to wait that long. Seriously, I have got a strong feeling that card might surpass the $2k mark fairly easily which then puts the valuation inline with the one I have. Cheer Alex

As i told you via PM be very weary of this supposed reseller/agent. Unless you are 100% sure he is what he claims to be do the safe thing and sell it yourself. The whole sending the card off to a 3rd party would not sit well with me at all!

Thanks for the advice Nick. Would totally agree with you in using unknown re-seller. I used to be a re-seller myself in my past life and sort of understand how it works. I do not personally know this re-seller but I have heard that he is reputable in dealing with such cards. Sending to a 3rd party is generally a norm and can't be avoided. I have thought about doing this on my own but believe I will not get close to what the re-seller can offer. Cheers Alex
Alex, while it is nice to get a great big fat whooping offer, one must always be wary of scammers. Just don't let your judgement be clouded by greed, and be cautious and take steps to prevent losing the card/money. Ask for the advice of members on safety procedures etc. Good luck Alex, I truly hope for the best for you!

Really appreciate evertbody's input in this. These are the facts
1. I believe there is 2 variations of these card, one 23C and the other 142C. I believe both have been offered on Ebay recently, with their respective owners have $2.5k BIN and would most probably accept a bid of $2k. Looking through their offers, they would have received offers between $800 - $1200 quite easily but choose not sell them at those prices.
2. If I would have done the same and list it up on EBay, let's use a multipler effect of 1.5 to 2.5 for it being numbered to 23, it would appear that I would receive offers of between $1500 to $2500.
3. Occassionally but getting more frequently, you get a non-paying bid on Ebay and the transaction does not take place. Even though you would say that there isn't any loss but you have already revealed what you would accept and there will be very few offers exceeding what you have received before.
4. Paypal still does have some loopholes for sellers especially if a dispute is lodge for some reason or another. There is no doubt that you will get your money or card eventually but the money put on hold can be for more than 2 months.
The offer received from the re-seller is definitely more than what I think it can fetch on Ebay with the cash paid in about 2-3 weeks time (with no recourse back to the buyer). I know I sound greedy but am really trying to achieve the best outcome for myself. Of course, my most preferred way is the old-fashion way, exchanging the cash and card in person.... but unfortunately, that seldom takes place in modern context.

Why not just list on ebay with a BIN of $5k - see what offers you get? No hurry to sell I'm assuming - you didnt know you had it a couple of days ago! haha
I'd hold off a while, see what offers you get - If the guy with the current offer is legit, he'll still want it in a few weeks/months time!

Secondly, I know you're probably sick of hearing people tell you what to do, but consider holding off for a while. Why would he give you a timeframe? It's not like there is another card like yours out there! Sounds like he want's to get in before anyone else.
