I thought i would post a list to highlight how Select favours certain teams when it comes to its high end cards (case hits). I have purposely left out 2004 Captains Signatures as all teams had 1, Summons/Provan Signatures and all of the 2000 All Star Signatures (1 per box and not high end).
I am sure there would be a similar pattern when it comes to AFL cards and if i have made any mistakes lmk and i will correct it.

Please post what you guys think and which player(s) or team(s) need or deserve a high end sig, Cheers

Feel sorry for you man. I wish Matt Bowen had a Future Force or Top Prospect (I could afford that). Also, I think the Ty Williams signature card was from 2006. Wasn't it the same set as the Scott Prince one?

Sharks always produce a game of footy - whether they lose or not.

Paul Gallen + Nathan Gardner especially are great players...........

A high end ET release would be a good release  .....perhaps he wont sign or demands too many $$$'s. I say this as, apart from being a great bloke, he is a very clever businessman and acutley aware of his "brand" and perhaps see's no value in a footy card of himself.

I'd also be happy with a Gavin Miller....perhaps they could do the prettiest and the ugliest player in a Sharls duo card. ;)

IMO I also think your list is skewed by the 2008 Centenary Immortals cards....but ultimatley it's all about what sells and The Bronco's and Dragons have probably two of the biggest fan bases or at leat two of the biggest collecting fan bases.

Cheers
Ross

I did think that the Dragons list was a little misleading as 6 of the 7 were of your 3 Immortals. I would love a McGaw/ET dual signature. I just really wish that Select did NRL Captain Sigs when they first did the AFL ones (2001) where it wouldve been either Peachey or ET:woot: instead of 2004 Kimmorley:(

I'd hardly count the Churchill one as high end. He's been dead since 1985 and a foil squiggle on a card ain't my idea of a collector's item.

As for Future Force cards, after the 2001 set where there were plenty of up and comers, the NRL, you will find, supplies Select with the list of Future Force cards for a season. They mix up no names and shield potential stars - a la Karmichael Hunt and such. Furthermore, its no good griping about the common card selects - Series 2006 where so many top liners were missing - El Masri, Menzies, etc OR 2008 Centenary set - no Hindmarsh - the NRL gives Select those lists too.

While i get your point about Chuchill, Its a foil signature but it still qualifies as high end as it is a 1:12 box card and the last one SOLD on ebay for $675

Sharks- None
Titans- None
Warriors- None

the sharks are the hardest done by.........
the warriors only 15 yrs could have stacey jones perhaps,
titans 3yrs no home grown legends,
the sharks 43 yrs (?) and have tonnes of legends starting with steve rogers maybe

How about adding in Case cards...not expensive but still at best 1 in 12 boxes, that might change things up a bit.
