Hockey NHL Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

And now begins a brutal 4 game road trip, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville and Detroit. Be happy if they come away 2-2.

Well, they went 2-1-1, but the 8-3 blowout against Detroit took some of the shine off. Then to lose at home against Phoenix

Kesler is back on the injury list with a foot fracture, 6 weeks. That said his reintroduction seemed to throw a spanner in the works as Kassian and Schroeder seemed to go AWOL. Hopefully they have Bieksa back for the game against the Kings.

And speaking of the Kings, after going goalless for 11 games and even being a healthy scratch for a few games, they traded Gagne to back to the Flyers for a draft pick. First game back, he's scores in a 4-1 win over the Capitals.

Hells yeah, the boys are carving it up in Anaheim. Wild are next on the list. Also Oilers are on Fox Sports today. Will be a good chance to see all their young guns and abuse the hell out of Justin Schultz, the dirty turncoat.

Funny how things work out.

To make way for Steve Pinizzotto's return from IR Volpatti was put on waivers and sent back to the Chicago Wolves for more ice time to refine his game. However, Washington came along and picked up Volpatti off waivers. (which sucks because Volpatti was not only their best hitter, but also a BC native and grew up a Canucks fan)

It's thought Kesler fractured his foot in the Feb 21 game against Dallas when he blocked a shot, and he played with it for 3 games.

Had Kesler been diagnosed earlier, he'd have been placed on IR, Volpatti wouldn't have been dropped.

So now they've picked up Sestito off waivers from the Flyers, and Mason Raymond moves off the wing to become the 2nd line center, something he's not entirely familiar with.

Coming up against a resurgent LA, its not looking good for tomorrow. Hopefully home ice can make the difference.

Flyers make it 2 in a row with a good win over the sens this morning and ducks lose a close one to the coyotes

how good has the hockey been this season

Deep into the 3rd period, scores tied 2-2.

AV stands on the bench and says "that's an elbow".

Gets 2 minutes.

Calgary score to break the deadlock.

F*** these refs.

Mind you having your flights cancelled because of a snow storm and only arriving in Calgary 2 and a half hours before face off doesn't help either.

Neither does Bieksa being scratched, coming up sore after the Kings game.

A disaster waiting to happen.

did'nt expect canucks to drop that one but only just arriving before the game that would of been tough.

None that I'm aware of, though I just watch games on NHL Vault.

Saw this today

From the NLB, the second tier Swiss league, 15 year vet Ronny Keller has been left paralyzed after being checked into the boards by Stefan Schnyder.

Schnyder has even been questioned by the police over it.
