Any other Trail Blazers fans out there?

definately! add beasley as well, its possibly the hardest ROY to call since ghill/jkidd :woot:

although i reckon beasley has a higher ceiling than rose, his attitude could be the issue

True that, Beasley, Oden and Rose are all legitimate very strong #1 picks.

It's like having (potentially, don't hold me to this), Dwight Howard (Oden's similarity), Kevin Durant (Beasley similarity) and Chris Paul (Rose similarity) all in the same rookie year.

Although Rose won't put up numbers like Paul did.

im not sure about rose atm, bulls have to figure out what they are doing with their surplus of combo/point guards! Only one of oden/rose/beasley i can see starting straight away and getting 30+ mins a night is beasley, oden may be eased in and rose might be in a 6th man role or something.

Beasley's gonna go for 32-35 minutes per game, Oden will go for at least 25-30. While he may not play 35+ he's definately going to start, but because they have Aldridge up there and a few other players he probably won't be called on that much offensively.

Yeah Rose will start slow, maybe look like a Randy Foye rookie season, 10 ppg and 4 apg.

Trail Blazers 110 Kings 81

emphatic start to the pre season for the mighty blazers

more importantly 6 players scored in double figures

rudy rookie of the year and possible 6th man of the year.
sick sick passes! and spanish connection comes to the nba!!

bah i heard broy might not play today again gstate, and that oden may not play either!

interesting to see how they play outside portland, i mean rose garden was sold out for a pre season game, i dont think many teams will actually enjoy playing there coz the fans are crazy!

Yawnie's pre season notes

-If people play consistently not many teams can play with the blazers for 48 minutes, the sheer depth will overwhelm teams without a solid bench
-Blazers are terrible without broy and steve blake
-Blazers need to solve their 3 point and PG issues asap since they have a tough opening to the season, first 10-15 games will be a big test
-Nicholas Batum looks solid, but i suspect he will get a lot of DNP-CDs, outlaw and webster will take most of the minutes at SF this season
-Aldridge and BRoy will be serious all star candidates, and Oden will be First team all rookie and a ROY candidate

Rudy Fernandez is fantastic, but let's hope they give him court time. Another Euro player, Italy's Marco Bellinelli has played amazing in the last 2 preseason/summer leagues but not been given much of a chance to shine in the reg.

great news for the blazers!

Darius Miles was cut by the celtics, meaning that his salary will not impact the blazers in the future, unless another team picks him up and plays him for 10 games :v:

blazers looked pretty good last night vs. sacto kings, although they need better on ball wing defenders, you cant give up 25+ to salmons and kevin martin consistently and expect to win!

btw am i the only blazers fan on these boards?

K-Mart II is one of the best 10 scorers in the League, Salmons has greatly improved his game, but you are right. Apart from Outlaw nobody does a great job.

ah a disappointing loss, im not too worried though, considering the lakers are tipped to be nba champions this year, and are a veteran team, i rather have this sort of loss early, so then the guys focus a bit better, they looked like they had stage fright, and oden going down early really exposed them.

Hopefully this was a wake up call, i dont mind losses if the guys played hard

bring on the spurs!

rudy's playing tight though... roy imo.. simply because he's playing like he's not a rookie.. forget beasley and rose.. they need 2 more years to break out. rudy can play right now.. but then again, manu can never get more than a 6th man so..

he probably will be the 6th man. because i don't think in the future the blazers would play him over roy and bayless. who've they got at SF though, maybe he can play there..

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

blazers beat spurs, live stream lagged for a second, i was dying for a moment there

no one thought the blazers slacked off the last few seconds? man the spurs had an open jumpshot to win... as in OPEN shot.. lucky win.. pretty disappointed with that....

and why the $#%^ are they playing blake instead of sergio.. didn't see the game but looking at the boxscore.. sergio had 3-2-2-1 in less than 10 minutes.. blake had 6-2-2 in 32 minutes... at the least split the minutes!

bayless dnp???

Bayless's time will come he's young and full of potential still.

I haven't actually seen game tape of Sergio, but I have seen Blake, what he does is control the ball, limit turnovers and he hits the open jumper when it's there.

When you have Oden, Aldridge and Brandon Roy, I'm not so sure it's the big numbers you want from your point guard, more the maturity and experience to run the sets... maybe? :)
