Two 4x100 relay teams compete in a race.

Team 1 has 3 swimmers that average 1min/lap and 1 that averages 40sec/lap

Team 2 has 4 swimmers averaging 55sec each.

During the final race, all team 1 swimmers race their average but 1 team 2 swimmer exceeds his average.

Who is the MVP?

As much as that hurt to watch today I could quite happily sit back and watch Steph stroke that shot of his game after game.... WOW.

In fairness to Jerry West though, Lebron's minutes are helped by 2 OT games. His points are helped by the ability to shoot 3s, and he hasn't had to play with a pulled hamstring.

West went for 53 in G1 and in Game 6 he still managed 24 after doing his hammy in G5.

But the biggest reason for West winning it is because it was the 1st ever finals MVP award and were expected to win, so by game 5-6 I think most voters had made up their mind, them when they lost, they couldn't find a better player from Boston to take it.

I just can't accept the award going to a player on a losing team. NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO DO IT!

Curry will hopefully have 45 anyway and that will just seal it - then we'll get a week of "should Lebron have got it?" and it'll be over with.

As much as I have enjoyed the finals and as great as Lebron has been, these are my sentiments.

I normally agree, but these finals by James have been insane, without him playing like this, well this team without him would be the Knicks lol (sorry knick fans)

As I tried to explain above using a dodgy swimming analagy.... it doesn't matter if he was the best. It matters as to who was the most valuable to the end result.

If that was Iggy switching into he starting lineup, making Lebron 4-14 yesterday and scoring 22 the day before, then that is MORE VALUABLE than lebron dropping 40 in a loss

Curry had some real decent looks and he normally is money, but his rhythm seemed really rushed and he looked unbalanced. Delly made some good defensive plays but really, Steph was just off.

Seemed to do fine in game 1, shooting 10-20 from the field. Straight from the horse's mouth, Steph says that he's fine, and his rhythm was just off and that he doesn't expect a similar performance. Some observers, including the announcers and LeBron, are also crediting Delly on shutting Steph down. Puh leaze. If Cleveland had lost, maybe the spotlight would have gravitated towards the Warriors holding LeBron to a .324 shooting night. Steph will be fine, the Warriors will be fine. To lose by 2 points with him having a terrible shooting night should give confidence to the Warriors.

I think we can put to bed the notion that Delly was ever a Steph stopper..one off night doth not an elite defender maketh.

This just doesn't happen though. With your theory then Boris Diaw should have won last year. Kawhi threw up 2 stinkers in game 1 and 2, whereas Boris was clearly the Most Valuable as he was a HUGE difference maker.

Iggy doesn't do what he does without a guy like Step or Klay taking most of the focus.

I can't see how LeBron doesn't get it. It will be strange, but it would be stranger if Iggy or even Steph got it. LeBron has been the best player EVERY game for mine. I'm yet to see GS show they can stop him.

Iggy and Klay have both taken a game off Steph.

But we'll see, if Steph has a big game, he might get it.

I have my money on LeBron though, just a shame him and Steph are both paying $1.85 now.

Ha ha, quoting yourself.

I don't think I've seen anywhere that Delly is a Steph "stopper". Although America can run with a story.

Last year Kawhi won the Finals MVP and this year DPOY, yet Lebron shot 57% from the field and had ridiculous numbers, yet Kawhi is an elite defender???

Sometimes you can just do the best you can and I think Delly does that. Steph is the MVP for a reason. Not too many other guards would have been able to hold Steph down for so long.

Looking forward tomorrow, I'd love to see Delly have one more nice game:)

Apparently you have not been on the news.com.au website recently then. They try, but its obvious they have no idea - about "Dirty Delly" or well, the actual news for that matter.

Disagree! Kawhi was way more valuable than Boris was.
You can argue that no player has the game they have without the effect of another player if you try hard enough!

That site is so brutal. Regular spelling errors and link to trashy trash sites and articles. I don't know how theyget away with it
