The North Queensland Cowboys have signed former Penrith Panthers half Te Maire Martin to the club until the end of the 2019 NRL season.

Martin, 21, will begin training with his new club this week after being granted a release from the Panthers.

This surprised me I thought he was heading back to NZ

I actually turned on thinking Saints season would end today.

Even Newcastle haven't conceded 50 in 2017. Para nearly vs Roosters when Gordon missed a conversion and kept them to 48. Biggest points loss ever to win comp was 49 by Newcastle in 2001.

I hope Brisbane. The only reason I collected 20 bloody predictors was in case they won. I need to keep my Broncos set near completion!

I think it is pretty open.

Melbourne with Smith aren't a threat.
Broncos without MILF aren't a threat and he is one good hit away from surgery.
Sharks will implode no one goes back to back. Maloney and his $$ will hurt them.
Cowboys without JT don't win
Manly well the Dragons have put almost 100 on them this season.
Roosters -no fullback now is a worry.
Eels - still have issues with the spine
Penrith well could do anything but Griffin is their coach.

So by that the Dragons are a lock, load up and put the house on them.

Everyone's thoughts on the Soliola hit?

Should it have been a send off?

4 weeks?

My thoughts (hard to be objective) are that it was certainly late and high but Slater slipping made the contact much worse. I think a send off or ten in the bin with a couple of weeks suspension would have been fine.

With the uproar about lack of penalty on the night I think he will get 4-6 weeks. Sia is not dirty or a grub, just a hard but but unfortunately he got this one wrong.
