nba 2k11 - my player

I don't know why you guys got no game time in your All-Star Games though, because I played 18 minutes, second only to Amar'e who played 25. I play 8 minute quarters so 18/32 minutes is not too bad for the All-Star Game.

I think the new patch had something to do with fixing that.

I only have 2 games left in the season. Was sitting in 4th spot in the west but an untimely 4 game losing streak has hurt, i can still finish anywhere between 4th and 7th depending on how results go over the next two games.

Finished my first season 7th in the West.

Picked up the Rookie of the Year Award and the 6th Man of the Year Award.

Matched up against the Lakers in the first round :(

I played the first game of the series and had a monster first half. I got subbed out with 1 min left in the 2nd Quarter and had 19 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists already. We were up by 15. Finished the game with 29-20-4 and we got the win after a late Lakers charge. Kobe also twisted his ankle and will be playing hurt for the next 1-2 weeks. Hopefully we can snatch the series :)

My player rating is up to 93 now :D

I dont know if its the patch or not, but the Jazz FINALLY gave me the star next to my name

Started playing on the weekend, got drafted 2nd round 20th pick by the mavericks, got booted from the summer circuit, currently playing with the vipers in the D-League. I'm pretty terrible at the moment, but slowly getting better, still lots of fun.

It's more likely to be because you passed Deron Williams' rating, meaning you're the highest rated player on the team = star.

Yeh thats what I thought at first but then I noticed that he went up to 94, but hes 8th best overall in the league while Im 6th :S

Woah 93 rating?!? Nice effort, i've just hit 80 and im starting to build up my D a bit. Its going to be a long time before i get the star i've got Bron and Wade both rated 97

I got bored of mine so started a new 1  I was 77? after 41 games.

Started a new 1 as a 7'0 SF :D Man is it harder to get exp. points though cause of my height! Get a 20/20 game and you'll only bring in ~1200 points! He's up to 60 after 12 games. Love him on the pull up though cause I made him a 3Pt specialist and the 7'0 can shoot over anyone :D

I keep forgetting you can start a new MP, might do an SF myself although my 6"8 SG is pretty much an SF size anyway haha

I got asked by the media if i had thought about changing position which i thought was weird. Maybe they'll get me to play SF more often now or something.

It took me 2 seasons at 3 minute quarters to get me up to 93 :p

But I got it up by 5 points I think just by leveling up my 3pt shooting through drills :D

I hate the drills! I suck at every one of them lol
Got gold for the first time on the shooting the other day and it gave me a lousy +1 on close range

 I have only ever done the shooting 1 cause gold is easy and you get gains in the most expensive ratings, as Jimbo said yesterday. I've never not got Gold, so 400 points every time and adding of +1 to something, and occasionally I've got +2 3PT! I typically only shoot 3s and mid range, but mostly 3s. My 2nd guy is already up to 89 3Pt rating so I might start mid ranging it up now.

oh so all that said you will learn to like the new patch.... yeah your probably right, i slumped for a few games then came back with a massive game including a career high 18 assists. im finding most games my points have slipped but my rebounds, assists and steals are higher. ive also dropped dramatically in turnovers, that may not have anything to do with the patch though might just be me learning to be more responsible with the ball. im finding my rating to be very tempermental though, before ill easily get A+ every game, now i gotta work for it and sometimes things dont go my way and i might slip to as low as a C. but other then that i made rookie of the month 3rd consecutive month, beat out John Wall for the Starting PG spot on the Rookie V Sophmore game, and even made the allstar team as a rookie! not bad!

Ive got a rating of 47 after 19 games and have just won a starting position on my team in the last 7 games. Won rookie of the month and also a place in the Jordan Brand. Have 19.0ppg 8rpg and 3apg 35mpg at SG. Typically i am getting between 1200-1700 skill points per game. Is this normal?

I'm fluctuating between those skill points also, I guess it depends on your position and player rating. I'm a 7''0' Rebounding Centre and it seems normal for my player but I now have a rating of 89 so It should creep up to 2000 pts providing I continue A+ games.

man we've dropped 3 straight games since gerald wallace has got injured.

the last two have been within like 2 points though, one into overtime and the last one a 2 point loss to the Lakers who are #2 in the West.

Kobe went off for like 48 and I had a chance to send the game into overtime but missed a leaning jumper with Ron Artest in my face. I struggled with my shot that game too, only scored 20 and shot like 35% but got 8 boards, 4 dimes, 2 steals and 1 block on a Bryant jumper.

Rated 69 overall now and I've played like 58 games.

Really into MyPlayer right now and I've been raking up the points recently :D

I just played the my best game I scored 134 points and beat Walt's 100 point game :D I also got my first triple double, but not in the traditional sense, I got a triple (134 points) and a double (11 blocks!) so that kind of counts

And to top it all off I got a nice 6000 skill points from that Key game!

yeah my sg is starting to be a ball tearer on the court now just played the rookies v soph played for the sophmores(second year) starting sg my overall is 89 now and im averaging 26.4 pts , 5rebounds, 4 assists in 5 mins quarters , the new patch is better it makes it more realistic , gets boring dropping 70 points a game and now its harder which = better :)

Made a new one as the 1st one got boring. I'm 7'5, 250lb from Congo. In Draft camp I averaged 17 and 17. I got drafted pick 21 to OKC and I've played 8 games and average 10 and 8 off the bench. I also got my 1st Jordan endorsement. :D
