Ch.10 to show two NFL games per week

Any idea who they are getting the coverage from??? if its the same as Fox Sports or ESPN.... will make no difference to me....

BUT on the other hand.. if they are getting coverage from CBS in the US, that would be mad... cos then I can watch my Dolphins play more often.... cos we all know we wont be good enough to be on primetime ABC/ESPN anytime soon.... :(

It's a start. I'd love to see a couple of NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB games per week. It'd make Foxtel almost redundant (as if torrents already haven't?)

thats a bit disappointing about the superbowl
i have enjoyed the SBS coverage for a few years now. hope ten does a good job
good news about the two weekly games though. but how about some MLB!!!! they play about 100 games a week!!!!!!

This is from TV Tonight (great website for TV news!!)

Channel TEN begins its NFL broadcasts from next week.

TEN will offer two live games per week, as well as weekly reviews and highlights on TEN HD.

From next year TEN also has the Super Bowl which will air live on the main TEN channel as well as on TEN-HD.

Friday September 5:
8:00am 2008 NFL Season Kick-Off
9:00am NFL - Week 1 - New York Giants V Washington Redskins (3 hrs)

Sunday September 7:
3:00am NFL – Week 1– New England Patriots V Kansas City Chiefs (3 hrs)

Monday September 8:
10:00am NFL - Week 1- Indianapolis Colts V Chicago Bears (3.5 hrs)

Tuesday September 9:
9:00am NFL - Week 1 - Green Bay packers V Minnesota Vikings (3 hrs)

As a result of its NFL next week, 9am with David & Kim will not air in high definition.

Thats great news. Only having free to air TV at home, i can watch more games that i usually do, which is the Superbowl.

Channel 10 has been doing well lately, showing the F1s live and Moto GP at earlier times on Ten HD and also showing NASCAR races. Gotta love the sports!

Wholly smokes...4 NFL games in 5 days on FTA. That's insane.

How long will that last for? Won't the ratings be quite poor with most games at 9am-10am on weekdays (competing against the morning shows that all the stay-at-home mums watch). I just can't see them persisting with it unfortunatly.
