2014-15 NBA Playoffs Thread - SPOILERS!!!!

amazing finish from Harden (im currently at work) but saw him hit 7 points in the space of a minute or so. Crazy that he goes on stretches, they even called him "curry" hahaha.
God Curry is def the new it guy in the NBA atm after they were consistantly showing the reply of curry falling down and not even talking about Hardens 39.

Why would they talk about Harden's 39 when it really counts for nothing? Where was he in the last game when they needed him?

embarrassing playoffs showing for the Hawks
They were missing Korver, had injuries to Carroll and were without Horford for most of an important game so I think they could have had a better showing. But Cleveland was also missing Love and Irving for the most part so really, you could argue they were equally as disadvantaged.

So, NO Kevin Love, Kyrie played the equivalent of just under 1 full game out of the 4, and you think there could be an ARGUMENT MADE that the Cavs were "equally disadvantaged" by missing talent??? Oh, THATS right: Horford and Korver were "All-stars", while Love didnt make it, right? ;)

Both teams at full play-off strength (including Thabo for the Hawks...), and Hawks may have pinched 1 and not get AS blown out in other games.

I use the term "equally disadvantaged" loosely because even without Love and Kyrie, the Cavs still have the best player on the planet in LeBron.. :p

So to sum it up it was an embarrassing playoffs showing for the Hawks.
For a team that won 60, they went out quite meekly, yes. Injuries sucked, but they were hardly going against a team at 100%. Watching the games, I was actually trying to figure out how they won 60, but maybe the pressure got to the young fellas. Perceptions also aren't helped when Bazemore and a few others get chirpy during the series, especially Bazemore saying "We're the better team, we just haven't shown it yet..." I guess he's waiting to unleash in game 5... ;) haha

Also the Cavs roleplayers stepped up HUGE, especially shooting and defense-wise, Hawks roleplayers not so much. Hawks also obviously need someone they can just "throw the ball to, and get out of the way". Team-work's nice, but you still need a closer...

Klay Thompson bleeding from the ear. Brutal knee from Ariza!
Yow, just saw that, I'm watching it recorded. Now to me THAT play is dirtier than anything Delly's done these playoffs, it looks like he brought his knee forward after he knew he'd been faked out to make sure there was no chance of Thomson getting a good shot off. It looked to me like he jumped toward Thomson, fair enough, but then when his legs had stopped moving forward from the jump, his knee looks like it then moves forward to contact Thomson's head. Shades of Bruce Bowen there, in my opinion...

When you combine that with Howard's constant swinging elbows, his forearm/fist into Bogut's chin last game, and Harden's fishing for fouls, pretty hard not to want them sent packing ASAP even though Warriors are obviously the tougher expected opponent for the Cavs.

Howard has been a fouling machine this game. definitely trying to get his moneys worth since he knows they're going fishing

What annoys me is he shouldn't be playing THIS game, due to precedents earlier in the play-offs (JR Smith vs Boston), but when he picks up his 7th tech, earning him the suspension he should be serving anyway, the commentators are yammering on about "You CAN'T suspend him, it'll ruin the series!!!" DAMN the series, rules are rules, they've already shown it!
