The next Immortal- You Nomination and Why

Ok here is what I know it will not be another dragons player.
This rules out norm provan and billy smith.
Your next Immortal will be Mal Meninga.
The rules are simple when it comes to the immortals it's all to do with what a player does on the field.

Then it should be Don McKinnon, for his IMMORTAL deed of p1ssing on Lang Park in 1988...
Norm Provan deserves it, the only reason he wont get it is because he played for the Saints and they don't want it dominated by Saints players...

I would prefer to see a player from another era be selected as an immortal, yes there is a a Hall of Fame but really there are quite a few like Keith Barnes & Bob McCarthy that should come in before more recent era players

Doubt he was affected by drugs while playing and if so i doubt they helped him in any way. The guy was probably going through hell with Bipolar disorder and not being properly treated due to the stigma attached to the illness. It's funny how no one mentions how back in the day and not that long ago all players basically drank at training, day before the game etc. Alcohol is pretty much the most dangerous drug out there, yet because it is legal people are more happy to forget about players being drunk and the unruly behaviour. If he was just a guy who liked to get on the drink or even an alcoholic people would be much more sympathetic towards him. He tools a few pills, so what, end of story. Most people have done illegal drugs at some point in their lives.

I was at the Dally Ms a week or two ago and an existing immortal (not hard to guess which one) was off his face! Came up into the fan section and was yelling and carrying on, nobody could even understand what he was on about!

Anyway, it's on record that Johns never played under the influence of drugs - that would be pretty much impossible with what he was taking, anyway.

I very much doubt it was Clive Churchill. :)

Or Artie Beetson...s#it...I still can't believe he is gone.

By the element of deduction, that leaves:
Fulton
Gasnier
Raper
Langlands
Lewis

Now Gasnier and Langlands these days are laid up old fellas, Raper not far behind.

Fulton doesn't seem the sort.

Was the bloke in question a bit of a wally?

LOL!
