my first bat was a kookaburra diablo and i currently use a blade strike but i have a grade 1 english willow SS coming in for this season, although i have already started training!!

Saw this thread and had to contribute. My first bat I got back in 89 was a Gunn & Moore I was 8 and it felt like it weighed 10 kilos and was actually painted in a cream colour cost $110 and got it from rebel sport in chapel st.In the mid 90's sanded it back and with a few new stickers transformed it into a GN Optima

My first bat was on of those wooden Cricket Australia bat and since then i ve had 8 bats. Only the newest one i bought is English Willow which is The Gunn & Moore DXM Flare.

I remember shopping with my dad for my first bat. It was a Kookaburra Saphire. I had it for years then upgraded to a GN Longbow. And now am in the market for a new bat thanks to a leaky car boot.
