Grand Final

I am blue and gold through and through and i for one am very disapointed at some of the BULLS**T that has been thrown about the Dragons GF win on this thread/site. the refs made bad calls we all know that, they have been doing it all year and the GF was no different and both teams had the benefit of the bad calls.
i just wish all the baggers would just pull their heads in and just congratulate the team that has been the best team all year and "GET OVER IT" its just degrading this site and the good people that use it.
you have an opinion fine say it with some level of maturity please

As for the Pr**ck that hurt that kid i hope they catch you and throw you into a cell full of 8ft tall, 150kg samoan roosters supporters, you weak weak person.

I cant believe some idiot did that to a three year old. Disgraceful.

I know I havent been around the nrl forums for a while, but dont you go for the Panthers GIRDS???

As a diehard roosters supporter, all I will say is. Dragons too good. Roosters needed to score more points late in the first half when they were dominating possession. But they didnt. Then they came out in the second half and didnt aim up in defence. A couple of absolute horrendous reads in defence from our boys and the game was done. What can you do but shrug your shoulders and say Dragons too good.

After watching that train wreck that was season 2009 I would of been happy with just a finals appearance, even if we went out in week 1. But to actually make the grand final and be involved in one of the greatest wins I have ever seen (Sorry Tigers) was unbelieveable. Great season, we will go one better next year!!!

one for the dragons boys :lol:

Thanks guys, we did report it to security and they said they will pass it on to the police. I must say the staff at ANZ were extremly helpful. I plan on giving my nephew a season membership for next season. I wont let that douche bag ruin the great game for my nephew, and i'm just glad my son wont remember it. All he says is "Booper (Cooper) got owie, naughty footy man".

Hopefully they catch him but i'm not holding my breathe.

=D>=D>=D> Well said Dave

I used the Dogs as an example as i replied to your thread which mentioned the Dogs, its not a secret that the Dogs have had crowd problems, if you like Im happy to send you links, not to mention that the club was on probabtion for crowd violence, yes they have a ratbag following which goes to games to cause trouble as told by the CEO & Police... also Canterbury is the team i love to beat the most, 2 of my best mates are doggie supporters and we give it to each other... Just to top it off some of my replies have been tongue and cheek regarding the dogs in other threads... I have not rubbed anything in anyones face, all im doing is defending my team with the ridiculous statements made by people regarding choking, ref been paid by the dragons, Gasnier try re Morris been in touch, but everyone forgets that the 2nd Roosters try should never been scored either as Creagh had the ball stripped from him and instead of a penalty we get a scrum and the roosters score 3 or so plays later...

Thats a reasonable response, but not sure we'd be hearing that if the Dragons had've gone down... You'd probably be blaming the Dogs for everything from anything negative football-related to blaming them for global warming... you know, your usual speel: "Bulldogs done this, Bulldogs done that, Bulldogs done something else!" ;) I mean, just in this thread, there was an Eels fan, a Cowboys fan, a Roosters fan, a Dogs fan, and a Titans fan all saying the Roosters were a bit hard done by, and you single out the Dogs fan! Not sure what ur problem is with them, but I'd be more interested in my teams success than rubbing it in others fans faces, but thats just me...

This is a Grand Final thread, even though this forum is dominated by Dragons fans it doesnt mean other fans cant express their own opinions on the game. If some of you people are too touchy to read things that arent pro dragons maybe create a "Dragon Appreciation thread" where most other fans wont even bother to read it.

As i have said you can express all you like as its your right, same as i can express my view... Probably the most sensible thing you have said re Dragons Appreciation Thread we should start one up :-)

Fair enough. To be honest, I couldn't see where all the "Bulldogs Hate" was coming from on your part, but if you've got Dogs fans who are mates and continually stir you I could see that getting on your nerves. I didn't know that previously. And I know there has been an element in previous years that have turned up to Dogs games looking for a fight, I'm just tired of the media and opposing fans beating that, "Coffs Harbour", the salary cap issues, etc, up when I think they should be all dead and buried. I mean, just about EVERY year, you get 5-6, sometimes more teams, named as being in "technical" breach of the cap. As far as I'm concerned, if you've diddled the ATO out of $100, you should still have the book thrown at you the same as if you've been done for $100,000... If they're serious about it, cheating the cap is cheating the cap. But we've only had 2 teams outed and punished publicly. I don't say the Dogs and Storm shouldn't have been punished, I just get tired of the "holer-than-thou" fans of other teams talking like they've never set a foot wrong. I happen to believe the salary cap should be scrapped/altered in some way, but thats for another argument.

As for the actual game, Morris CLEARLY touched the sideline, and to argue anything else would just be counter-productive... I think its also clear to most that the Dragons got a clear majority of the bad calls, although bad calls were made benefitting both teams. I will also say the Roosters required another 2-3 tackles to score off the bad call you mentioned, while the Dragans IMO actually scored ON several bad calls...

i was told by one of the sponsors of st george that most of the cash comes from the illawarra area.......

As a sponsor I can tell you that's wrong. What is it with sharkies supporters? If there was a premiership for negative comments they would win hands down.

Unfortunatley you will find people form all walks of life who need to learn this simple lesson of respect. For me I don't care what team you follow or what sport you play the most important part of sport is loosing and winning graciously and if this is the only lesson my son learns from me, my job is done.

Hear, hear. Same here. All the SMSs I received last year from poor sports were not replied to this year. Probably hurts them more that I haven't contacted them. Only one team can win each year. St George were the most consistent team all year & deserved their win.

Go the Dragons!!!

Just frustrating that the Tigers somehow gave away a scrum against the feed with 30 seconds left against the Roosters otherwise it should have been a Dragons-Tigers GF which IMO would have been a much better game.

Totally agree. Tbh the scrum should have been retaken. If it happened at any time during the season and wasnt the Roosters it would have been. They should consider themselves lucky to have even been there on GF day

as expected the dragons fans are just as bad winners as they are losers they would be nothing without the money and all the juniors from illawarra but good luck to them

Why would we listen to the opinion of someone who likes Paul Gallen? He is the biggest piece of lowlife scum playing the game. Good role model for young kids

For me it was disappointing, the 3rd Roosters Grand Final I have been to and all 3 times ive seen them lose. Maybe next time!

Unlucky mate. I was the same, going to all the losing grand finals since the last win in 79. I decided to stay home for this one so they would win!

I was at the game and was barracking for the roosters, I am a knights fan myself but took my nephew along. He was wearing his jersey, cap scarf and flag with pride, he was upset that the roosters had lost but was dealing, then one of my worst experiences at a footbal game occured. A dragons supporter came up and knocked his hat off, threw his scarf on the ground and then broke my nephews flag over his knee. Then as I told him off he pushed me into a wall as I was holding my 3yr old son, who hit his head and cut his eye, to which the dragons supporter replied "just like a ***** roosters fan to bleed."

My son required 5 stitches to his. I cannot believe how stupid some people can be. To of physically abused a 3 year old child and then gloat about it. Absolutely horrific. I am not saying that all dragons fans are like this, I actually met a few nice ones at the game.

But it was one of the most dissapointing days I have had at the football.

Thats disgusting mate. Hope your son doesnt stop going to the games because of one idiot. There are a small group at every club that spoil it for the rest.

That is bloody ridiculous, scum like that don't deserve to walk in public.

I hope the cops catch him and he gets locked up.

Verbal banter doesn't bother me and if a little kid broke the flag I might have had a chuckle but for a grown man to do it is disgusting!!!

You should write a letter to the Roosters, I bet they'll be nice to him and give him a free membership or something.

Dude, even im disgusted being a Dragons fan hearing that!!!

I would get this guy and teach him a lesson, touching, hurting a kid and breaking his stuff. Ill break his neck!

Jason, Thats just straight out wrong.
If I saw one of the Titans fans acting like that I would haul his sorry ass down to the police HQ at the Skilled.... after I smacking the crap out of him 1st.

I know I have your address here somewhere....

Send it too me again with your sons name and I will make sure he gets a signed photo of BLADE in the mail. Something small to restore his faith in the NRL brand. Who does he follow?
