Grand Final

*irony alert* Sharks fans giving lessons on how to win premierships with humility - LOL

Yeah its more a life lesson champ.

Well i wont even go there lol....
I have heard a very shocking / scary rumour that they are looking at joining us in a 3 way merger, when i heard i nearly collapsed, i hope it never happens, i would protest all day & night, now the person who told me was very intoxicated at the time....

This would never happen, i would rather relocation or extinction than this merger. Talk about the Sharks in financial crisis, has been written about regularly since the early-mid 90s, Journoes have nothing to write so they recycle this rubbish.

Finally the Cronulla Sharks have never won the comp
St George-Illawarra Dragons won the comp in 2010
and..........

^I was thinking top of the league at the end of the season should be the winners. Like in the English Premier League. Being able to finish the season in 8th and still win the major prize is beyond me.

I was at the game and was barracking for the roosters, I am a knights fan myself but took my nephew along. He was wearing his jersey, cap scarf and flag with pride, he was upset that the roosters had lost but was dealing, then one of my worst experiences at a footbal game occured. A dragons supporter came up and knocked his hat off, threw his scarf on the ground and then broke my nephews flag over his knee. Then as I told him off he pushed me into a wall as I was holding my 3yr old son, who hit his head and cut his eye, to which the dragons supporter replied "just like a ***** roosters fan to bleed."

My son required 5 stitches to his. I cannot believe how stupid some people can be. To of physically abused a 3 year old child and then gloat about it. Absolutely horrific. I am not saying that all dragons fans are like this, I actually met a few nice ones at the game.

But it was one of the most dissapointing days I have had at the football.

I am so sorry to hear that you had to have that experience... your poor son... that is disgusting behaviour. I really don't understand the need for any fan of any team to get violent with other supporters its terrible behaviour :(

That is absolutely ridiculous, i cant believe someone would do that. i hope if he wasnt reported or caught that karma gets up to its old tricks.

Im godsmacked, if this happened at the ground they should have CCTV footage of it, you should make a complaint, thats beyond anything i can comprehend and if i saw it i would have decked him on your behalf...

I thought you were a Panther supporter?

No Wayyy. Needs a Grand Final. ROOSTERS 2011

Rekless you should report this to ANZ Stadium & Police (if you haven't already) - there is CCTV everywhere - if it's reported action will be taken, trust me.

We can only hope you relocate to Adelaide and become the Adelaide Sharks has a nice ring to it... lol

Bad luck, champ! Hope it hasn't dulled the little fella's enthusiasm for next season... Ironicly, it sounds like behaviour certain Dragons fans on here only associate with Dogs fans, guess there's bad in every bunch, huh??? As far as the game goes, the Roosters got shafted in just about every pivotal decision in the game in my opinion, but I'd hate to hear the bleating if Dragons supporters had to wait another 31 years... Lol! ;)

First and foremost anyone who behaves like that deserves to feel the full force of the Law.... Every team in every code has ''dhead'' supporters this is unfortunate... Yes the Dogs unfortunately have more dhead supporters than most BUT in saying that the ratbag element is not part of the Bulldog Army, who are just passionate about their team, alot of the ratbag supporters of the dogs just go to cause trouble first and foremost there not even real supporters, they would struggle to know who the coach is....

Thats a reasonable response, but not sure we'd be hearing that if the Dragons had've gone down... You'd probably be blaming the Dogs for everything from anything negative football-related to blaming them for global warming... you know, your usual speel: "Bulldogs done this, Bulldogs done that, Bulldogs done something else!" ;) I mean, just in this thread, there was an Eels fan, a Cowboys fan, a Roosters fan, a Dogs fan, and a Titans fan all saying the Roosters were a bit hard done by, and you single out the Dogs fan! Not sure what ur problem is with them, but I'd be more interested in my teams success than rubbing it in others fans faces, but thats just me...

I thought you were a Panther supporter?

Well i am , but to be honest while walsh is there, im not, i cant stand him. i hope he moves clubs.

imho - Dragons players and fans have put up with the choker tag for several years, and it's been a long wait so now it's payback time - if Cronulla ever manage to win a premiership do you think they'll not be letting every St George fan know about it? Of course they will.

And if anyone really think the referee decided the outcome - watch the game again. Anasta's try could easily have been a no try, Roosters could have used the posession they had in the first half to score more tries, Carney could have kicked like he did all season etc etc.

I agree about the chokers tag, which is why I've never used it other than to rile up personal friends who are Dragons fans who always take the bait. And I can' speak for how Cronulla fans would take a premiership.

But as for the referee not deciding the out come, I would've taken away 3 of the Dragons first 5 tries, we not taken them all away, but either not given them or not even HAD them in scoring position! First try should not have been scored, simply because Morriss CLEARLY touched the sideline with his boot, and if you looked at it closely most likely stepped OVER the line, but on the line is enough to be out. Second, (I think it was the second, or possibly the third) was off a repeat set where the Rooster only hit it out after seeing Soward coming through, but Soward was coming from an off-side position and definately came within the 10. Then on the 4th try of the game, Perrett was clearly pushed in the back while retreating to his own goal-line trying to get to the ball, yet it was awarded a Dragons try. Then Roosters were denied a try, admittedly off a forward pass, by the video reff, but the video ref CAN'T rule on a forwad pass, and the reciever left from an onside position, so why no "try"?

Now you can say those 3 to 4 tries still don't make up the deficit, and Carney should've kicked better (I agree with the better kicking myself...), but the Dragons got the ball back FROM these re-starts, so how are the Roosters supposed to score without the ball?

There was no try disallowed because of a forward pass by the Video Ref, the broadcast showed the forward pass repeatedly, but the ref or line judge whoever repsonsible, had already ruled it a forward pass... its just that the commentators were confused.

Nobody either seems to be complaining how Ben Creagh (sp) was tackled by a Roosters player and then on his way down a SECOND Roosters player came in and deliberately stripped the ball, it was ruled a knock on and gave Roosters great field position, just because they couldn't capitalise on a ruling that went their way, doesn't mean the Dragons should cop the flack for capitalising when they benefitted.

Fact is in the second half the Dragons only made 4 errors, and defended very well... they deserved the win.

Mate, I am very dissappointed to hear that, I like the others think you should follow up on it if possible. A similiar thing happenned to me at Brookvale Oval in the semi in 2008, some clown from the peninsula deliberatley broke my sons flag in two and then stood on it and wiped his feet...what a hero. The best news was I watched a fellow Sea Eagles supporter job him 2 minutes later. Hopefully this clown that you were involved with was tazored at St George leagues later that night.

Regards
Ross
