I came across this pic yesterday and started wondering what must have happened to see Larry Bird and Dr J literally at each other's throats.
Does anyone know the story? Chad, I'm looking in your direction..

then some hot chick walked around with a sign that said Round 1 and a bell rang

ahhh the good ol days with rivalry. It was a tense EC playoff race and it was just some erant elbows being thrown around and on a play they took things the wrong way and started to go at it. The footage is on most of the NBA highlight reels from the time. Everyone came into to what we now call a malee but both conitnued and played. That wouldn't happen now.

I think it was an ECF's game in Philly from memory? The series Bird hit a running jumpper off the board to seal the win over the arch enemy.

This image has been sold on t shirts for ages on eBay. Oh and the famous video game too...

I'd rather a Tree Rollings biting Danny Ainge one LMAO.

I'm more upset watching Kareem throw elbows in the 84 Finals series. Very out of character for the big man although Dr J was pretty quiet too.
