Ide stake my collection on it.!!!!!!!!
I care little for whatever accusations you throw out...theres always 2 sides.
Sorry to be blunt but good old bb is top notch as far as im concerned !!

Its just speculation on my part but i wonder if its as simple as he sold the card to Bolli in an effort to get funds for Cherry but then something has come up and he has had to use the funds for something else. Then instead of just coming out and telling Bolli I f*cked up give me a chance to fix it he has stuck his head in the sand rather than facing up to the issue.

I just hope he comes out of the woodwork and tries to fix whatever has gone wrong because this is going very pear shaped very quickly and it aint good for anyone.

After reading all those correspondence from Steve to Boilli, I find it very amusing on his style of writing. I think everybody knows Steve is an excellent communicator and even though I have bought cards that are in the 100s of dollars, i find it very puzzling that the style of writing to me is not even close to what he has written to Boilli. Mine are very factual and direct, no mucking around kind of message but the ones written to Boilli are very jazzy and sale-like pitch. Very much like a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde approach. What do you think guys?

If they are sales like, they are dodgy used car sales like......they kind of creeped me out a bit lol

Have to agree with ya mate. Sometimes people are quick to jump to conclusions. Let's give steve a chance. I'm hoping there is a logical explaination.

Unfortunately I think it sounds through Steve's writing that he has maybe got himself into a very messy life situation all together.
He sounds very anxious, stressed and somewhat mentally scattered. I think it's reasonably clear what's going on considering the email content and the post that G made, having said that we still don't really know the full story and unless we are actually there at Steve's side, none of us can.

I'm not jumping on any bandwagon here by the way. I really like Steve and I also feel for Bolli.

I remember when something sinister like this happened a few years back, the perpetrator used the old 'my brother used my account' excuse. That's what came to mind after reading some of this all over again.

To the site admins, I would close/delete/edit this thread to remove names and defamatory statements. The last thing you need is to be sued for defamation.

sorry but  won't happen, simple as that...... individuals have made a couple of badly worded bullyish statements but thats about it... The site won't/can't be held accountable for it... It's a forum, not a website.

yes the site probably can't be sued by individual certainly can. Currently there is case against a couple of forum members from ASX | Share Prices, Stock Trading, Stock Market - HotCopper Share Trading Forum about a few statements they made about companies on the ASX. Those companies are now going after them for defamation. So you should always be careful what you say on a forum.

We should leave the thread open, otherwise we are not letting the accused a chance to defend himself. He has had 6 months to prove himself, let's give him a few more weeks.

I am still very new here, but that lack of equal evidence from both sides makes me really sad/anxious for Bolli, Steve and Mr. Grayson. I truly hope that the correspondence between Steve and Bolli were actually coming from Mr. Steve and not an impostor. Fingers crossed for all parties involved, including those who are experienced traders/friends with Steve and of course Bolli. I have learnt from reading this thread, thanks for leaving it open for now.

I haven't commented on this yet, but will now after reading Steve's correspondence and the details as posted by Bolli. From what I can see, Steve had the card in question in his posession when the deal was agreed upon - howelse would he be able to send bolli scans? He has then handed it over to Grayson at Cherry Collectables as collateral for excessive credit owed. That is a fraudulent act. I know Grayson is the innocent party here - he's just stuck in the middle of a s**t pot situation. If this is indeed the case, I don't see as how Grayson/Cherry Collectables will get in big legal trouble. Yes they have stolen property in their possession (if I have read the chronology of events correctly), but they weren't aware the goods were stolen. At the least they will be short the money steve owes them. If they were to sell the card to a fourth part however... that's a different story. It's just a shame that recently there have been traders both here and at Beckett with good reputations who have done something like this to ruin their reputations. I will add a warning of my own - there is an american trader - dorkypunkrockerguy (real name Kevin MacDonald) who has done something like this to myself and several other beckett traders. He has subsequently been banned from Beckett and is not responding to any facebook message that have been sent to him.

This may be the case and I hope he comes back here to explain his actions but here are the facts:
1. He DODGILY asked to not have the trade posted in the trades section - Against Site Rules
2. He accepted money and cards for a card he didn't actually have - Against Site rules
3. He told mohammed he had the card ready to go once he received payment - A lie
4. he has not sent the card that is owed for nearth 2 months - This IMHO is theft!

When reading Steve's messages to Mohammed (provided by Mohammed above) I was sickened by all the BS he has spewed out as excuses!

Just my opinion on the whole sorry affair :(

Oh SNAP !

Your legal advice is priceless

So does it say whether or not he was actually made to pay any money? Like Heafy stated, The individual could be sued and forced to pay money, but the forum as a whole, or the owner... Would be a very hard case to try and push through...... Considering it is a FREE site and anyone can sign up.

The deal was done via email mostly, with a couple of PMs on here.... The site rules in the case of this happening mean FK ALL! Yes Steve is in the wrong at the moment, but I think the other party should have pushed for it to be done properly, no matter how good of a friend he is... Look at the amount of value/money involved!!!!!! i think that was just crazy in the first place!

Totally agree Mohammed should have pushed for a formal thread but you can clearly see it was a site created deal otherwise why else did Steve CLEARLY ask for the trade NOT to be made public? He even mentioned they could do it after it was completed for feedback! This to me clearly indicates the transaction DOES HAVE SOMETHING to do with the site and therefore the site rules.

As Mohammed indicated; Steve obviously didn't want it placed as a trade thread because he feared Grayson (G) would discover it and say somthing along the lines of "Hey what the heck.....I have that card (for collateral) how can you sell it?"

This in itself is really dodgy practice and IMHO is (according to the definition) - Fraud!
(Fraud in the Collins dictionary states: Deception, swindle; a person who acts in a deceitful way)
