2021 Optimum Medal Inserts - Film on card?

Preparing for asking a question that might seem stupid..

If you have one of these cards - is there a protective film on them that can be removed?

IM ASKING FOR A FRIEND... (please someone say yes).

Yes, this definitely a thing.

Not sure exactly why for these cards (I didn't pull one), I'm guessing they have a high gloss/easy to scratch surface?

This is good news. I did pull one (a dusty - yay me) and it looks like the film is coming away in the top left corner. I want to shoot it off to get graded so was going to remove the protective film entirely but paused to question whether it was actually a protective film.. or whether I was about to remove the dusty from my dusty medal card lol

Nah, I think you're good. The irony is that it's there to keep the dusty off your Dusty.
