Story broke today that ex-WWE employee Janel Grant has filed a lawsuit accusing Vince McMahon of sexually abusing her and trafficking her to other men in the WWE. This is the woman at the center of an internal WWE investigation over a $3mil hush money payment, an investigation that ultimately lead to McMahon stepping down as CEO. Janel had apparently agreed to an NDA, which Vince has supposedly violated, leading to this lawsuit.

She also accuses John Laurinaitis of sexual assault, but the suit also seems to implicate Brock Lesnar, when the WWE was trying to sign him back off the UFC;

In July 2021, the suit said, McMahon instructed Grant to create personalized sexual content for a WWE superstar that he was trying to re-sign. The suit didn’t name the professional wrestler, but described him as both a UFC fighter and WWE talent. People familiar with the matter identified the wrestler as Brock Lesnar, one of WWE’s biggest names.

...The suit said McMahon shared the explicit photos with the star and informed Grant that “he likes what he sees.” After the star agreed to a new WWE contract, McMahon texted Grant in August 2021 to say “that part of the deal was f—ing U.”

That December, McMahon gave Grant’s personal cellphone number to the WWE star, the lawsuit said. The wrestler asked her to send a video of herself urinating, the suit said, and after she did, he called her a “b—.” That same month, the suit said, the star expressed a desire to “set a play date,” but a snowstorm disrupted his travel plans.

The story was originally reported by the (paywalled) Wall Street Journal, but Cageside Seats has the crib notes. It doesn't make for comfortable reading. (they also link to the full 67 page suit if you have the stamina for a true horror story)

Vince for his part has issued a statement through is lawyers denying all allegations and calling them a distortion of the truth.

TKO (the new parent company of both the WWE and UFC) have released the usual dry corporate statement, taking the allegations seriously, but distancing themselves as it all occurred before their purchase of the company.

Feels like this could just be the tip of the iceberg, the suit makes references to other "stars" being involved, and questions will be asked of how much Nick Khan, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon knew. Not to mention Netflix just sunk a whole bunch of money to exclusively broadcast Raw from 2025.
