2020 footy stars prestiege release.


So the old "You're not an AFL collector" comes out.......does that mean I can't have a comment about it?

So that means If I go buy a pack of Footy Cards today that then allows me to now have an opinion on the matter?

As I said above, just because I or many others don't like a product, doesn't mean you cant think its the greatest ever product made. If thats your opinion great guy buy 10 cases of it and enjoy it?

Having differing opinions is perfectly fine!

Personally I’m loving what I have seen so far, the people complaining about the different parallel have probably never had anything to do with NBA, it will grow on them for sure, any new release I look for value for money series 1 didn’t have it as if you hit a box with a die cut and starburst well you couldn’t get near making your money back, but this release I see nothing but value and still have 2 previews to come
 
I think this is the key point in the whole thing.

In 2014, all the talk was about how poor the releases were and how the hobby was dying if not dead. I had a grand total of 4 non-base Eagles cards to chase in Series 2, and Champions was decidedly uninspiring.

I don’t think anyone could say with a straight face that the releases in the last 12 months haven’t been a million miles away (in the positive direction) from what we got in 2014. Not everything has been perfect - I’m not convinced on the different parallels in this series for example. Numbering the milestones doesn’t do a whole lot for me either. On the other hand I do really like the look of the Brownlow Vote Getters in particular, and the Engine Rooms look nice as well.

I think what I’m trying to get at is that there’s a balance, isn’t there. Anybody who says everything Select has done recently has been 100% perfect or absolutely rubbish probably aren’t being completely genuine. Likewise, Facebook groups have their pros and cons - there are some things I’d certainly do differently if I ran one, but there’s no doubting there’s been lots of good come out of it as well.

Overall, I’d definitely much rather be where we are today than where we were six short years ago.
 
Now are rumours suggesting the last two previews will not be platinum Brownlow predictors nor gold show stoppers as those concepts will be correspondence to those Silver showstoppers and Gold bps in 2021 footy stars?
 
PS won't be surprised if last two previews are something like:

Sharp shooters /40; 1:72
4 per club
4 leading goal kickers
My team: Cameron, Greene, himmileberg and Toronto

Best and fairest parallel /40; 1:288
Same as album cards this year but numbered with a platinum foil background instead
 
PPS agree this release is bang for buck and reminds me of NRL 2013 elite (Matt 26 may explain if not firmiliar)

Secondly a great fill in for this apprehension of an era whilst 20 dominance still on the backside

LOL...... I love this!

Funny this same "Lucas Jericho" had never ever changed their Facebook Profile until it was made public that it was a certain someones second FB account...... bidding up auctions on their own FB page and filling out case shares where there wasn't much interest.

Then by the end of that same day that this second FB profile was out in the public domain "Lucas Jericho" suddenly changed their FB profile picture and mentions of that very noble name suddenly vanished...... like someone had been found out and was trying to hide something?

Long live Lucas Jericho! Forever my hero!
