2011 AFL Dream Team-OCT Comp.

OK, I need som DT advice.......I have $555,700 left and I need a decent backman and a decent forward (I have filled my quoter of Rookies).
I WAS thinking Gwilt (St Kilda Backman) and Knights (Adelaide Forawrd) but I am not 100%

Anyone will to sugges a player or two along with why?

I am willing to help out others who may be looking for suggestions too :)

Being a Crows fan I'll help you out with knights. If he stays fit he is probably one of the biggest bargains in DT. Could easily score you 85-100 a week. However...... that is if he is fit. I would stay safe and go with someone like Jason Porplyzia. Roughly the same price without the injury problems. Will play more midfield this year and also up forward. To me he is the better choice.

Yeah I heard Knights already has a groin "twinge" so that's a worry!
Thanks for the head up mate!

I am a WCE supporter and give you some hot tips on their players if you ever need it :)

Anyone got any DT thoughts and ideas on Gwilt?

The groin twinge is nothing to worry about. Its his hammys that are the problem. Although last year he was out most the year with stress fractures. What do you think are the best bargains on the WC side? And don't tell me Kerr because I don't think he is worth the risk.

I think Gwilt is a waste of time. Had him last year and he frustrated the hell out of me. Never picks up enough possessions to score enough. Doesnt tackle and cant mark. He is a poor man's Jason Gram.
If you want a cheap defender try Andy Ottens from the crows. Will play every game if fit and will play more midfield as well. Was out all last year with a knee but looks like he hasn't missed a match with the way he's playing in the pre-season.

I already have Otten (lol)

I was thinking the same on Gwilt but with about $330,00 to spend who else should I look at? How much Gwilt last year?

WCE Tops picks in my opinion are:
Chris Masten (Fit & firing this year and collecting plenty of possessions, he only played 7 games last year so he is under $235,000)
Brad Sheppard (A star in the making and will be one of the main men in the backline thsi year).
Andrew Gaff (Should see plenty of games and looks the goods from what I have seen so far).

Gwilt got 109 points in his last match, I'd say he's not that bad, worth the risk if you ask me.

Scott Selwood and Rosa will go okay, Gaff will be lucky to get a game hey? Unless of course injuries hit us hard.
