That's what I mean by saying it would not work with me, because ebay seller most likely hold back on packs with Bird/Magic card inside. Yet the only place to get those packs are ....

But I'd love to know the theory.

The theory goes that for the old vintage packs, there were only base sets.

The companies produced uncut sheets and when the cards were cut out of them, they would be inserted into packs according to the uncut sheet.

For instance, if you saw the back card was, say card #3, you could look at the uncut sheet, go across 1 and up 2 and you have the next card. Then you go across 2 and down 4 and you have the next card and so on. You could determine the pattern from opening a few packs.

Not a bad break! Must be pretty fun to break some old vintage stuff!
