The Official BOSTON CELTICS thread

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

Nah the comments were just crap. If you watch the game the Pistons are playing as hard as they ever were. They too hyped the crap out of the game and it was a playoff atmosphere. It was an important game after the Celts loss earlier and they too knew if they won again it could impact how the Celts felt about a playoff matchup etc.

Chauncey just downplayed it because the Pistons got beat. Pure and simple. The Pistons have done the same thing the last few years after poor playoff performances after great regular seasons. Nothing new.

And it was a big game, our guys came into hostile territory looking for a win that everyone was watching. They got it done so celebrate I say. Titles aren't won in Jan but tones are set for the year during the season.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

crap loss and not the sort this team should suffer regardless of who is in and out.

Bobcats give us a hard time it seems. Took a miracle to get the W in Charlotte last time we played them too.

Matchups suck especially when you combine that with off nights. I hope this fires them up for another streak.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

J-Rich looked hard to contain. But allowing Nazr 18 & 10 off the bench, there's your problem.

Big K-Perk not plaing defense again?

He sucked against Yao when they played the Rockets.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

No comment since 4 hours ago? Celts must have lost. Poor old Chad, takes it to heart every time.

She'll be right mate, get back up on that horse, and try again next time.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

LMAO

4 hrs huh G LOL

Forgot we are talking Scotty internet time!

Ahh its quarter to 9 and its STILL 37 degrees here in Melb.

I've been doing my bit for the Aussie male breed and been BBQ'ing, drinking beer and in and out of the pool perving on the Mrs:thumbsup:

And as for Perk. How many C's actually do shut down Yao??

Today we played poor the Bobcats bought their A game. No excuses about it. We got outplayed and shouldn't have but you get that occasionally. Its when we keep losing to bad teams I arch up!

Now we sit on a demorilising 4 loses so far for the season whilst Orlando have plumeted, Toronto suck like the rest of the Atlantic and we have shown we can beat the Pistons at their own game of defense and in their own place :woot:

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

Tough loss, I'm only shit stirrin.

Pierce was the X-Factor today. He just couldnt get heated.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

More like the ZZZZZZZ factor as he went to sleep with his shooting.

And its not like I have heard any shit slung at the Celts in the past 17 years or so.....

It helps to just point at all the banners though.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

And thats how you close it out on the road. 23-9 in the last.

By taking a quick look at it not a great night for the C's and lucky it was against the Nets and no one else. Even on the road.

Still perfect against all teams in our division. Not that thats too hard.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

Farout, luckily for that!!!

The C's were SOOOO close today, so damn close.

I was really hoping it wouldnt happen, but hey, they got a bit more R-E-S-T-E-C-T-A-P-A now.

Good win away from home soil.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

Celts lose again today vs the Wizards after getting blown out by 25-13 in the 4th . Someone forgot to boxout Jamison who had 16 boards, 9 of which were offensive .

I think its only a matter of time before they drop down to reality and stop all this breaking the 72 win record and blah blah blah. I still think they will still win the east with relative ease, but more like to have between 57-62 wins.

I dont think they will win it with ease at all...The pistons are only 2 or 3 games back... Celtics will win 60-65, Pistons about 60

I don;t think they'll win it with ease either, but I can;t see Detroit being their big challenge. I think they match up far too well on your boys.

They lose to Charlotte and now Washington?? Washington?

We have beaten them this year once, they have beaten us once... ;)

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

Nah its based on Mavs having a 'feeling' they can win. Its win win making that comment as when the Celts win both he will say 'well the Celts ARE the best team and should of won' and IF they lose he can easily say 'I TOLD YOU SO!' and look smart LOL

OK Scotty Washington should win because? Of matchups or just it being back to back games? (Last time I checked the Wiz are playing back to back too LOL) Boston taking them too lightly?

Because KG & Perk couldnt contain Jamison.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

LMAO!

I don't not like KG, but this cracked me up. I was watching the short ESPN recap they do. And opening play was a Caron Butler reverse slam on KG.

Next play was a KG fast break open dunk on no one. And after he landed, he was jumping around looking at the opposition (the guy closest to him).

Very funny stuff.

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

Well Taz - u called it!!!!! Kudos mate!
Trouble with the celts in the last 2 losses has been rebounding...today - 49-30 against the wizards - with all due respect to Jamieson - they're not a great rebounding team and that's an ass kicking!!!! KG's rebounding in particular in the last month as been poor by his standards.
Another worry has been Ray Allen's shooting, 3-13 today but shithouse the last month - time to pull finger guys and get back to basics......

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

Just look at the amount of offensive boards we gave up tonight. Second chance points kill you especially when you shoot horribly like we did for the most part. We need a second pure PG not this Tony Allen shit at the point. Rondo is a great rebounding guard as well and actually dishes the ball. Allen can't get it done.

And our W-L line hides what an ass wipe of a coach we have.

After all that we still had a 7 pt lead going into the fourth and lost it from there.

They better get hungry and make life not only hard at home but blow them out or this team needs a good ass whooping.

Sure Perk is limited in his offensive department but surely Doc can get his options in the offense more reguarlary..

Re: The Official BOSTON CELTICS Season Thread

I think KG has it right, he's come out and said that the early wins they've racked up are going to their heads, and that they need to come back down a level, and re-group.

They've lost what, 5 now? WOAH! lol. No need to panic, but if they come back down a level now, they'll pick up, and more than likely bounce back hard next game against the Wiz'ds.

It'd be highly unlikely that KG would let them do it to them again. And it'd be highly unlikely the A-Jam would have another rebounding efforft until the next 1/4 moon.
