Whats your tips for sorting bulk commons quickly

Seriously though, I do the same thing.

In to team piles. In to numerical order / sets. Sets in a 250 count box. Spares in numerical order in a count box. All labelled. Stored away.

Some great techniques there guys. If anyone wants some practice, I have these sitting on my kitchen table at the moment.....every box is filled with unsorted commons.

I sort each 50 into a pile (ie 1-49, 50-99, 100-149, etc).

Then I take a lot of 50 and break it down into its 10s (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, etc).

Then put each lot of 10 into numerical order, collate, and move onto the next lot of 50.

This stems from having stuff like WWE, Marvel and UFC where there are no teams. Plus i can do a sort over a few days with each stage.

Offer a school kid a set to sort them out.....
If you know one of course, I don't suggest approaching a random school kid!!!!
As for you digeze you would need a whole classroom!!!

I sort into the 16 teams then each team numerically. Then YOU add the spares to MY collection. LOL

when i was bored i put this years traders in full aplhabetical order

In previous years I've sorted by either team colour or lots of 10 (1-9, 10-19, 21-29, etc) before subdividing each lot and then parting out into sets. With the 2014 Elite, the colour/team is a bit harder (for me) so I've only used the numbered lot method for the latest series. All my excess are in 5000count cartons.
