**UPDATED** OzCards Chat Bar - Now Available

We have now installed one of the Chat programs suggested in this thread. The chat bar can be seen at the bottom of the site. You need to add friends to your friends/contact list here http://www.ozcardtrader.com.au/forum/profile.php?do=buddylist to be able to chat.

Adding this wasn't cheap so if you guys like this new feature please consider shooting us a donation here - http://www.ozcardtrader.com.au/forum/admins-annoucements/50308-donations-ozcardtrader.html

Please post in this thread if there are any problems - we will be refining it and making changes as we go.

Okay i think this is a great idea, only i have one suggestion that i think could be taken on board. i know its possible but im not entirely sure if it costs extra, if it does i'd just leave it how it is.

Here is my suggestion: A Chat Bar instead of the current chat. this site has a friends feature implemented similarly to gaming forum im on. the chat bar allows you to see anyone online within your friends list, thats my only suggestion regarding the chat bar. ive added a few photos / print screens to show what i mean.






if it was possible and free i think you should do this. just my two cents worth idea.

Its a real basic chat and it has a purpose.

Not sure what that chat program is they have installed - can you send the admin a message over there and find out what it is ? I can then take a look and maybe we can implement it here ...

yes thats it. i found a forum announcement on that site stating its comet chat. its really good. you can have group chats on the left hand side of the bar aswell, for example we have a staff meeting at 7.30 every monday night for around 10 mins in the chat bar that is password protected. (im a mod on the site)

I have 1 suggestion. I think it should only show the people that are actually online, not all of your friends. It makes it easier to see who is online.

don't worry. the people who are online go to the top. when i said the first message no one was online.

Great idea, people just need to remember to not complete deals over chat for their protection etc but I think it's a fantastic addition
