Melo, Durant, Gay and even Dirk all take plenty of contested shots. It's their jobs, there's only so many guys that can get their own quality shots when the clock is running down.
Will the Lakers make the playoffs? They've got an okay-ish schedule left...10 of 22 games against teams that are in the playoff picture at the moment, so even if they lose all of those games and win the games they should be winning, they are only two games above .500? Squeak through?

I think the Lakers will make the finals, but a first round exit is the most likely outcome. I just don't think DW has the right stuff mentally to lead a winning team. I think his heart is elsewhere.

I've just come back from a month long trip in the US... here is afew pics when i went to the lakers/suns game

Dwightmare and Nash combined 2-14 from the field in the first half..even with a mediocre game, the Lakers wouldn't have a good chance of winning, but with an awful game, this one is almost certainly going to be a loss.geez great start for us today

Is it time for LA to start thinking about starting someone else in Mettas place. His scoring has droppped right off and he just cant handle to top players anymore. Maybe time to start a Ebanks or someone and get a bit more speed and athleticism at the SF.

I have no doubts that if they could've gotten something decent for him before the trade deadline they would have. I like what he can do but he does not stick to his role. Takes way too many bad shots and drives. Although he can stick the 3 he doesn't make it often enough. Still can set the tone on D though.
Might just be way too many personalities for D'Antoni to handle.
I've said all season the Lakers will make the playoffs so I'll stick with that. But can they win anything??? I don't think so.

What a great game.
Kobe came up huge in the 4th with 18 points, 3 assists on 7-8 shooting. Ended up with
42 points on 14-21 shooting, 7 boards, 12 assists and a block.
Meeks also had a good game adding 19 points. Dwight also looked a bit better with his 20 points on 9-16 shooting, 15 boards, 3 steals and 4 blocks. Thats about what he should be averaging if u ask me.
