I've been collecting Isiah Thomas since 1988. It was feasible pre-2000s to chase everything. Then sometime after 2006 I was defeated, and waved the white flag. I still kept my collection because I didn't just pick random player, Isiah was/is my hero and I love my collection. About a year ago I picked up a couple of cards and got the bug again. I started by putting in modest bids and accepting what I won and didn't win. I've gotten a little more aggressive and I have fun picking up some nicer things, but I still don't get too bent out of shape by the ones I cannot get. My advice is like everyone else's; navigate your own path. Just keep it fun, it's never good to feel burdened by something you enjoy.
