Hi all,

just wondering if anybody can help me finding a place to go to in the city to watch the hawks vs celtics game which is on ESPN at 10am?

My cousin and I are planning to go to the footy tomorrow to watch the hawks vs pies, and want to see the game beforehand on our way in. I;ve called the casino, and the person there had the schedule on espn from a couple of days ago, so they thing the game will be on 12pm instead of 10am, so not going to trust them to show the game.

Nope its been decided, after all morning convincing my fiance, I've convinced her that we are moving to brisbane and getting foxtel installed so we can watch yesterday's game before we head of to the footy to watch the hawthorn vs collingwood.

Be on the lookout for my posts in the general section on 'supersonic air travel from brisbane to melbourne for the footy' and 'travelling back in time'

<end sarcasm>

I was going to point out the irony myself...

I'm glad I left it up to you!!! :thumbsup: :lol::lol::lol: :thumbsup:

I've found a great place to watch the games....my gym has TV screens on all running machines and bikes.......and they all have ESPN...ill be going to the gym next weekend to watch the Lakers vs Jazz game (3rd game)...I hope I can hold out till half time!

Sydney:

I am looking for a place to watch the NBA on a nice big screen with volume, not some crappy Celine Dion soundtrack like I had to hear last week at the only pub I could find with ESPN.

Can anyone recommend me a decent place in Sydney for Saturday morning?

Thanks
Chris

Sports bar was the go, except they tried to shaft me with the audio. There was about 20 ppl there to watch the game from the beginning, and I asked them to change the audio over from the horse racing (OMG how frkn boring) to the game. Told me they had to wait until some guy got there.

Half time still no audio, so I ask again, they say no, but I see the guy. So I ask him and he says no audio when theres a race meet, have a go at him about the place being a 'sports' bar, not a fkn 'lose money on some little midget riding a horse' bar. Then have a go at the ladies who had lied to me from the beginning about being able to hear the game.

After that, they finally put the audio on, and moved it to the huge screen...must be like 15m long, but in like a 25:9 ratio, haha, now the players looked like midgets. Ah well, got my way in the end and the celts won! woot.
