Not so confident on Mackenzie.. would like to see Schofield back as well..

Hopefully LeCras is close to getting back to his best!
 
i've got Darling down for a lazy 13, Weedon to kick 3 on debut, Glassy to take mark of the year, and leccas to pick up 56 touches, gotta luv the smell of optimism in the morning

Robert Walls who hates Essendon more than he hates getting kciked in the nuts?? Robert Walls who when we beat Gold Coast by 139 points gave Ablett the two votes?? No, Im not Robert Walls.

The only people who don't rate Slattery are those outside Essendon. It's no coincidence that LeCras kicked 12 against us last year when Slattery wasn't playing. He is Essendon's best small defender. He covered Didak in the Anzac day game comfortably, sure Didak still got 20 possies and one goal, but the goal was kicked when Heppell was playing on him and his disposals were always pressured and at something like 30% efficiency so he was a non factor. He beat Matera last week, yes he's 18 years old but he kicked 4 the week before and was the fire behind the Suns win over Port. Then he moved to Ablett in the fourth and Ablett's disposals and efficieny both dropped in the fourth.

No doubt, when Slattery beats LeCras tomorrow, it will be all about how LeCras is still just coming back form injury and not full fitness and so on and so forth. It won't have anything to do with how effective Slattery is at shutting down opponents.

I do rate Slattery, but 10 goals, not so sure, Walls hates Eagles more with a passion, it's still burning inside him that we won in 2006. He detests us, and quite frankly in 4-5 years I hope we beat Carltank by a point in the GF, to rub it in some more.

Yep, exactly what I said, the only people who rate and understand just how valuable Slattery is to our side and make up is Essendon people. He continually beats his man, and then the excuses get made for why. Last year when he masked Cyril Rioli out of the game, "Rioli just looked Injured" when he covered Lenny Hayes "Hayes just wasn't himself tonight" when he held his own against J Selwood "Selwood had an off day today" when he beat Didak "Didak still coming back from injury, lacking fitness". He's as good a lockdown player as there is in the game, and West COast fans will see why tomorrow when he goes to Lecras, Priddis, Kerr or whoever.

Of course you didnt, and yet on the Bombers website he is being listed by many fans in the votes. Again, outside Essendon no one rates him and no one notices just how important he is to our make up.
 
Good game for both teams!

Rhys, who would u consider better? Hocking or Slattery? I would say Hocking, just, but maybe I'm missing something
