Can people recommend insurance companies that will insure collectables in Australia.

i do not believe there are any. Only know of Beckett that does overseas

NRMA will cover collectables. Don't know of any others.

just be careful as many insurance agency will say they cover but will only cover to a certain amount.

Insurers generally steer clear of collectables but will insure single-piece items (such as a antique ring etc).
Unless your collection is curated by an organisation or company who will underwrite the value of your collection in their policy, it's a case of protect at your own cost (as mentioned above Safes etc).

I also have a mob in england, but it costs me 2k a year.

It's $250 per year. It's not massive though. But just put the biggies in there.
It's free insurance up to $10k with that box.

I took out 1 in a bank around 10 yrs ago, 200 a year.
No electronic devices allowed, no cameras, if I take items out of lockup, I lose the the setup.

I like my set up. I can come and go as I please. Take stuff out and put stuff in.
