Hey Guys,

The 2010 Dreamteam is set to open on the 1st of February (the coming Monday) I am happy to set up a league once it opens up on Monday.

I was also thinking that we should have prizes for the winner and runner-up, towards the end of the season we will think it up and maybe if each person contributes a card or two in which we can put the lot together for prizes.:thumbsup:

I will post the League code on Monday night.:)

I reckon cards valued at about $5. 16 in a league. first gets first 9 choices of cards, second gets 10-13 and third gets 14-16

Yeah with the prizes, we will come to a conclusion about the prizes and the value of each prize. I reckon each person should contribute a card and we will make up a list 1-16, number 1 worth the most and number 16 worth the least. The winner will get the most valuable cards while second the middle value cards and third the least out of the base.

With the cards contributed as prizes i will make a few guidelines to the rules of the value of the cards etc etc. For example, contributing a few base cards isn't good enough for a prize. Here are a few examples- Die Cut bunch (20 would be suitable from 1 person) Medal Card from Pinnacle etc.

I think majority of the prizes should be AFL related.

Please post your ideas and we can put them together to make my original idea better:thumbsup:

Ok guys another one for you, what will your team name be and who is your must pick player in each position?

My team name this year is Slice n' Dice, thought it up late last night so it will do the trick LOL.

My key players for each possie:

Back: Brendon Goddard average of 103 last season, an absolute dreamteam gone:p

Midfield: Hardest to pick, if i had to choose one because my salary cap was in trouble i would pick Gaz instead if Swan. Gaz's average was 118 last season and Swan's 119, but what helped me decide was- Swan's a collingwood player and no pie is getting picked over gaz LOL:lol:

Ruckman: Still Coxy i reckon, he was terrible in dreamteam last year because of injury, this year he should bounce back:thumbsup:

Forward: Paul Chapman, gun cat up forward!

Count me in guy's. I finished in the top 3000 last year so i hoping for even better this year.
I think a cash prize would be better than getting 16 $5 cards.

DEFINITLY IN!!! Great idea Warney, and card prize sounds awesome.

Personally, I think the winner should choose his 6 or so cards (becoz monetry value doesn't necessarily equal value in the eyes of the beholder) - if you get what I mean.

For example, id much rather a Geelong low end insert valued at $5 over a Port insert valued at $30.

But then again, im just one eyed lol.

Great idea though, can't wait for DT!

My team name is "On The Prowl" - expect to see it at the top all season haha.

I think that this way is better as per previous message i think its too hard to do cards

yeah we just have to remember one thing here fellas, kids are looking to join as well and can't afford say $50 bucks or so and the parents won't let them join. I reckon Scott is right, put in $10 each. Pot- $160

1st- $90
2nd- $70

With the amount of interest this year we could possibly have 1 league playing for more money and the younger members in another. I'd be happy to pay $25 or $50 entry.
