Stats sometimes tell the story so I'm just going to point out 4 major ones.
1. Bulls with 19 offensive rebounds. Staggering. Consequently they also had 19 more field goal attempts than the Heat.
2. Heat with 16 turnovers to the Bulls 9. This is a reversal of what usually is a key for the Heat winning. Worst thing is, most of the turnovers were sloppy and careless.
3. Heat with only 15 free throw attempts, this simply won't get it done - Bulls turned it up and the Heat went soft (except for Bosh).
4. Bulls with 10/21 3 pointers. That's the most this post-season, through 11 games they had only made more than 5 in a game 4 times.
Happy with Bosh's game. Heat need to man up. End of story.
I wonder what Spoelstra does now. Continue with small-ball or go to a bigger lineup? If small-ball is the go more energy and hustle is needed. From watching the game I genuinely don't know whether small-ball or going big would be more helpful. Would be good to get Haslem in there (health permitting) but I think Dampier is more useful than Magloire.
Well what is the lesser of the two evils for the Heat. Go small again and you may get increased hustle and rotation on the denfensive end which was lacking in game 1, however you will probably get smashed on the boards again. Go big and you lose that hustle.
I think for the heat no matter which big man they play Noah seems to be getting the type of form he will flog anyone on their roster, which has always been the big question mark for the heat.
Ah I was talking about increased hustle and energy on the glass, not on defensive rotations. The Heat's rotations weren't terrible, it was their inability to grab loose balls. Give the Bulls bigs credit for grabbing heaps of offensive boards off the glass or out of the air - but there were at least 5 individual situations where the ball was on the floor and the Heat didn't go after it. It then leaked out to the Bulls and they got a 3. Or when there were 3 Heat players waiting for the rebound, but none of them boxed out so Taj Gibson just jumped over them and grabbed it.
Those situations aren't determined by size. They are determined by will, hustle, energy etc. Players like Haslem never miss a box-out assignment, hence are able to get double-digit boards most games despite only being like 6'8". I'm amazed that at the highest level of play in the world, on such a big stage - players still don't even do a simple task of boxing out.
Rose summed it up nicely![]()
Also should be noted that the bench agian was given an opportunity to play decent minutes. They sure performed for the Bulls.
Arthy is there room for me to join in on your man crush on DRose![]()

Kg might get jealous![]()
But remember the benches aren't important................ even though the bulls outscored the heat 28-16
I knew I'd get called up on this.
Well they aren't MEANT to be important for the Heat. Heat bench only outscored Boston's once and they beat them 4-1. But I guess it's pretty damn important when both LeBron and Wade fail to score 20 points.
We just got our asses handed to ourselves tonight, plain and simple. Ba-ram-you!
