Well he may as the whole basketball collecting community knows about this; he's almost as good as guilty if he is purposely ducking and weaving this situation. Look at the circumstantial and actual facts at hand. I want to be proven wrong and there to be a more innocent explanation but everything said so far reflects terribly bad on him. We are going to give him the opportunity to explain himself but for now, we should leave the thread open.

Generally when you get sued and you either get a layer or represent yourself. That costs money. The owners of Overclockers australia (the biggest pc site in australia) were sued for things a user posted on their site. So it has happened. Secondly, unless you use a proxy hack its easy to find out who posts what and even if you do there are many ways to get the info you need.

Dont be so sure of internet anonymity, it aint true.

Never said a thing about internet anonymity..... Also didn't say anything about costs, related it towards the person suing actually getting anything which you didn't answer.

The reference to being a free site and anyone being able to sign up is a reference to the Admin of the site not being able to control what is posted (at the time of it being posted, yes they can delete after the fact) or who signs up (as previous) so can't be held accountable for those actions posts... but then again, some of the more derogatory comments haven't been deleted....

Amazing what happens when you dont read the forum for a week.

ATm it does not look goot for Steve, but as the admins have said the thread is open for him to come tell his side of the story.

What I would like to know is: Is there anything tangible that OCT Admin, Federal Police or Lawyers can do for Bolli to help him recoup his money, or does all of this amount to nothing but an interesting read for forum members?

I ask because it would be nice to know if there is any protection for online fraud on this extremely active community.

Fraud is fraud Nazim. Does not matter if it happens on the internet or not.

In saying that we cant throw that sort of accusation at Steve - we are not judge and jury.

I hope that the Police do get involved so that all members here and the collecting community understand exactly what can go on!

We can all assume what we like but until all facts are materialised then it shows that this can happen to anyone at any time!

Does it really matter if it is a $5000 card or a $50 card, the scenario is the same and should be dealt with accordingly!

I doubt the CONMAN can justify anything he has done, and surely he wont try to on here just to appease some others, and will have to accept any punishment forthcoming legally speaking and i hope Biolli gets a total refund or the actual card in question. If i was the person holding this card i would have contacted the Police myself to notify them of my unknowing involvement in such a case!

@IÂ´m really shocked that for Mully is more important how the internet law is (because of threads about persons) than that we find Steve (or he post about his side of the story) and we clear the problem. Why should this thread close??? IÂ´m a honest man who send money and cards and I try to understand what happened in the last 3 month (if someone believe me or not BUT I know the truth!). I can proof that we had a deal and specially I can proof payment!

I know that no personal friend of Steve will give us/me his phone number here but please call him and tell him thatÂ´s a shame what he does with me. I donÂ´t think that I deserve that. IÂ´m a open person for everything. When he told me "Bolli, IÂ´m sorry but IÂ´m bankrupt. The bank took my house, my wife & the childs leave me, etc." then it wouldnÂ´t be a problem without way out. I would say "Steve, send me my Jordan cards back and in the SV of the $2425 some Jordan Inserts that you have". Never again I would talk about this problem. He still would be my friend because I know that I can trust him. Every person could come in a desperate Situation but a real man with honor would say the truth and try to clear the problem!

I really donÂ´t know what can I do more. Every help of you guys would be great. Maybe someone live in close to him and can drive to him to ask him "Steve, waht up Buddy". Believe me that I would do the same when I would live close to a guy in Germany that makes problem with a deal.

Even though Steve might be in trouble cash Wise, he has a big collection sell what you have pay your debts and Learn from your mistakes but to hide over a pissy $2k with the Rep he has Built is quite ridiculous honestly .

Sell your cards even though it may be your whole collection which i doubt and saddle up mate .

Thats just not fair... at all!! It doesn't matter where people come from, no one country is more trust worthy then another.. That Guy should stop being a tight ass and pay for full insurance, then it wouldn't be a drama.......

That seems to be Verse covering himself from someone not wanting to pay for the full coverage to send an item insured. Nothing was hidden, everything was explained in the deal thread. Not the same thing and if the other party wants to use the "you're from Australia too" card that's just BS

Will it come a time where for big "transaction" we will need to use a 3rd party, will some savvy businessman start up a company which will be the middle man, you send card to them, other party send's money, card is then shipped out, anyone starts this up i want royalties from it
