2017 Collecting goals....Early but why not!!

Here are our Goals for 2017 !

1. Buy Less Wax... a LOT less

2. Reach 80% of Bismack Biyombo cards Without 1/1 ( at 70% atm)

3. Have 10 True 1/1 of BigBiz ( 5 at the moment ..)

4. Continue to add some items to the collection ( shoes , Pictures , Jerseys , Balls )

5. Continue to have fun and Love the Hobby !

Considering starting a project of collecting the 1986-87 Fleer set all graded PSA 8. I think it would take 3 or 4 years to complete.

I'm building a house this year so my funds will be massively reduced.

My goal:
50 Faried (any quality)
Hit 200 tie dye (at 161 right now after 9 months)
Get 2 new Bynum exquisite Jumbo Patches
Add 15 to the UD Black set chase

Hit 200 tie dye (at 161 right now after 9 months) - at 184/200
Get 2 new Bynum exquisite Jumbo Patches - 1/2 added
Add 15 to the UD Black set chase - 4/15 added

2. Distract wife from $$ going towards Exquisite base variations
3. Buy 1 random pack from local card shop, hit a crazy 1/1 jaw dropper, sell it and put the $$ towards buying Exquisite base variations

Hmmm, tough one.

My goals

1. Stay away from all Panini stuff except the odd Eminence card.

2. Add a nice Dirk, 03 Bowman gold refractor would be perfect.

3. Add a Tim Duncan 97/98 Jambalaya to the pc.

4. Add a 97/98 Flair Row 0 Jordan

5. Bust another box of 96/97 Fleer Ultra srs 1

Decided my new goal for 2017 is to sell every card I own. I have 1000's I've cards that are boxed away that I never even look at.

My new plan is to have 1 auto of my favorite player from each of the teams I follow. So hopefully by the start of 2018 I'll only have around 10 cards in my collection.

I love this thread. Every year it would be my most searched thread.

At the end of 2016 my PG collection will be at approximately 600 cards (I will update this when I know the exact figure).

For 2017 I would like to (subject to change in the last remaining days of 2016):
- Increase my collection to 850 different PG cards. (Shouldn't be too difficult with Panini bringing out a different card for each different shade of colour! PG has over 50 cards in Prizm alone)
- Purchase a authentic PG signed ball
- Add another 2 letters to my 2015-16 Immaculate Nameplate Set. G-E-O-R-G-E (Got the red)
- Add another 2 to my 2013-14 Immaculate Numbers patches. Have 4 of the 10 currently.

Heading into the last day of 2017, my goals were thrown out the door when I had sell off most of my rarer PG collection to make ends meet at home. I am now slowly making my way back into the hobby.

How did everyone else go with their goals?

Did ok I guess. 50% is a pass right?

1. Finish my 2016-17 Prizm Silver RC and RC Auto set chase - Gave up on it when prices went through the roof! Ended up selling the more expensive ones like Simmons, Jaylen, Ingram etc as the money I could get was too good to pass up.
   
2. Get a card graded Black Label - Didn't quite manage this but only missed by 0.5
3. Pick up a Jordan and Lebron on card auto (I can only hope) - Got both but gave up the LBJ as it wasn't what I was after and needed funds
4. Finally get around to sorting out a display cabinet!! - DONE

Faried - ended up adding about 150. Have now decided to start downsizing the PC, which is my main goal for 2018

Tie dye - currently at 256/300

Bynum patches, added the second copy two weeks ago!

Added 15, but then partially blew up that collection to fund a bank error
