Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

thanks for the link for my thread and also great thread , mayb i can complete the big poster with a table and all the games and results for the world cup this year if you bring the results on your thread

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

yeah for sure mate, will get some squads up once they are announced for the big teams as well...

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

well ballacks out , thats someone u dont need to worry about aussies

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

Very very hard to say. I'd like somebody who hasn't wona cup before take it out (e.g Spain or the Dutch...or Socceroos ;) )

Only team i would bet my entire live savings against atm would be probably .... North Korea...

Group stage with Portugal, Brazil & Ivory Coast...........

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

geez i'm starting to have more confidence in the Socceroos to pass the group stage now... A week back obviously Ballack was ruled out of the world cup and overnight Essien from Ghana (probably their best player) has been ruled out..

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

Go the socceroos

My 2nd team is the Netherlands because my favourite player is Arjen Robben

Lets hope the socceroos make the r16 and maybe see NZ do well

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

Got a Spain jersey at the 20 % off nrma members rebel sport day

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

If we finish 1st or 2nd in our group stage, i just had a quick look and is it true we will play either one of the top two teams from group c (which would be england and USA you would think)

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

@ dimmy , yeh thats true mate, 1st from group c play second from australias group and 1 from australias group play second in group c

so it is likely if australia get through they would play england

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

then we would get knocked out round of 16. heheheh spain FTW

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

An injury blow for Portugal, Nani has been ruled out of the world cup after enduring a collarbone injury and Dutch star Arjen Robben is in doubt to play in his sides first game but the coach was saying he may miss more then that. Obviously Rio Ferdinand, Michael Ballack and Didier Drogba have already been ruled out, but the one thats worrying me is Tim Cahill....

Ok off the injury front, here is round 1's fixtures-

They will be updated with match results once the games have been completed.

I won't do match reviews (will do goals etc) for the group games but from the Round of 16 on it will do.

South Africa- Mexico
Uruguay- France
Korea Republic- Greece
Argentina- Nigeria
England- USA
Algeria- Slovenia
Serbia- Ghana
Germany- Australia
Netherlands- Denmark
Japan- Cameroon
Italy- Paraguay
New Zealand- Slovakia
Côte d'Ivoire- Portugal
Brazil- Korea DPR
Honduras- Chile
Spain- Switzerland

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread!

If Spain play like they did yesterday (beat Poland 6-0) I can't see anyone coming near them.
