I am currently listening to the Hornets spurs match live. Bruce Bowen who people salute for his defensive prowess is an absolute pile of sh!t. He roughs up players when they are getting the better of him. He is not a fair player and doesn't deserve the accolades he gets. Just because CP is beating everyone off the dribble he takes it upon himself to throw him to the ground after the play has been stopped, for no other reason than being a fkn dog.

Just wanted to vent on a pathetic fkn excuse of a player. I hope one day a guy bigger than him drops him on his fkn arse, like he does with smaller players.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
CP3 is no golden boy either. I remember the last game between these two he kicked Bowen in the nuts. Bowen retaliated and got suspended.

Is that a surprise that someone did something bad to Bowen though? He's done jack-all to anyone else, but he does something to Bowen, doesn't surprise me one bit knowing all the crap Bowen has pulled in his time. Its the only reason Bowen is in the league, he knows this and if he stopped he'd get the shaft, so maybe Spurs coaching is to blame.
 
its funny, Im guessing you were listening to the hornets commentators?

because the spurs radio announcer didnt make much of the incident, and Ive been listening to this guy for years, and he's not biased at all - he just calls the games as they are.
 
I watched it on ESPN today. He was Ok. The only major incident was when CP3 hit 2 jumpers over Bowen late in 4th and did a menacing glare towards Bowen, but nothing major.

One amazing play was when cp3 did a and1 move(360 twist around Bowen) and nearly scored on the lay-up.
 
if you search on youtube for bowen u get all these videos of him stepping under jump shooters. he is a dirty player.

I agree that he's a dirty player.

But I have not seen these incidents you're referring to. Just wanted to have a laugh that someone made a thread about him.
 
Finallly someone brings it up. i FREAKIN hate that mother effer. being a suns fan and watching him play in the playoffs the last 3 years i have always hated him. dirtiest player alive, will always try to get a cheap shot in. Plus Robert horry is the second dirtiest player on the spurs, bodychecking nash last playoffs was the dirtiest move i have ever seen.
 
Every team needs a Bowen for just this reason, he takes all the concentration of everyone off the rest of his team and has the ability to take the oppositions players minds off the game. Is he fair? I haven't seen him play, but apparently not, but he is doing what he is paid to do and if the ref doesn't call it (or even if he does), then there's nothing more anyone can do.

Great comment...every successful team needs a junkyard dog...a scrapper or enforcer who puts their body on the line for the team. They takes hits as well as give them.

Think of past championship teams and the players that filled that role -Rambis, Vernon Maxwell, Rodman, Shaq...there's more but I haven't got time right now!!

The referees know his history and tendencies ... at the end of the day, if the ref doesn't call it - it's not Bowen's problem - he's the NBA's equivalent of Josh Carr!

If its a foul ... call it.

If its unsportsman-like or likely to cause injury ... call a flagarent.

And I'm sure the refs (and their supervisors) do some post-game reviews of their own performances; surely if they saw what he is allegedly doing to CP in game one, they'd crack down on it!

And guess what, I'm a Suns supporter. So if anyone has a reason to be sore at Bowen, it should be me! But I'm not!
 
so whats the first video supposed to show? Chris Paul tries to be a tough guy, stares down bowen, bowen hip checks him slightly...and chris paul tries a poor acting job?

surely CP3 saw Nash and how to flop on a hip check (that'll get those suns fans boiling haha)
