Supremacy 2021

I'm also thinking 2 box max, plus if SCC member an extra box. Also it was pointed out the other night the foiling used on the promo is gold, 2019 release it was silver. A slight subtle change for this 2021 release.

If select sell the boxes at $300 each they could well be worth over $1000 on the secondary market

For what it’s worth if everyone tries to resell on the secondary market because they have seen the profits made on Optimum, people will panic sell and prices won’t be too bad. Double negative
Depends on what people are willing to pay though. Demand is much higher than supply recently.

Some proportion of demand is being driven by the 'greater fool' theory. People with little or no interest in the hobby purchase on release because a greater fool will pay twice that on ebay. We've seen this with concert tickets, sneakers etc.

Eventually the greater fools will realise that if they are buying Optimum boxes for $650 because they think there is still capacity to make money on it, things should correct quickly. Some people may be paying $650 because they really want the product, but I'm assuming this is a smaller proportion of people purchasing on the secondary market.

The Optimum market was a bubble within a bubble. Individual card prices tanked hard and quickly. I don't think Supremacy will be much different. But I expect next year's Prestige release to be a reality check for people who are in it for the dollar-dollar billz.

Average punters are not paying $650.

Breakers are paying $650 because they're covering that and punters are buying spots because they don't want to pay $650.

Sellers win, breakers win, punters mostly lose

Yep this pretty much sums it up, if the average punter wants to get boxes to bust at a reasonable price then it’s a simple solution, STOP GOING IN BREAKS, the market would then correct itself

Supremacy stand-alone isn’t a great product for breakers anyways. Hard to reel people in to cover costs for a 5 card box. 30% chance you hit even a base card. Optimum was the perfect product for that platform given the bulk amount of inserts it included and the ease of making back initial capital from breaks, especially early on. Time will tell though, the mindset of the hobby is too hard to predict with certainty.

True on the Supremacy as a break product. I still think they will pad the risk out with freebies like hitless get a pack of optimum or some junk like that.

I think there will be enough cases floating around for the big boy breakers to break for months, whilst the little breakers will be hunting for sealed product on the secondary marker. The punters will keep going because it's an addiction.

Agree that breakers will package a box of Supremacy up with a couple of Footy Stars boxes or similar to keep prices down and the Supremacy will be the draw card. Still going to be an expensive break but people will continue to enter them and take that risk.

I dont necesarily agree on supremacy being a bad break product.

Its an easy sell at over $1000 for a break with 10 spots. Everyone gets a Card for $100 with chance of thousand dollar cards!

I believe the majority who go in breaks are gambling and they have no interest in getting smaller inserts. So the option to go in a break where u get one card and a big chance to hit big is very attractive.

Hell i dont lime breaks and avoid them more now due to not seeimg value for money.

But if im going to take a punt i would happily pay 100 with chance of hitting a huge card (and at worst at least walking away with a base that at start of release can go for big bucks also

Dominance 19/20 sells for $500 (double the rrp), Brilliance selling for $750 (5 times the rrp), Prestige selling for $350 (2.5 times the rrp) Optimum selling for $650( Almost double the rrp). This isn't just a bubble it's the new standard and has been since 2019, it's pushed by breakers not people investing at the high price. This wont change any time soon.

$50 a spot x 18 teams = $900 a box which for the chance at 1k+ card is pretty tempting, considering even at 5 cards per box you have a 28% chance of a card worth at least what you paid.

Never done one of these breaks , but it sounds like a bit of fun to do every now and again.. Might do it one day.

Yeah but i prefer the 10 at 100. Guaranteed card. But i honestly think these are easy money in regarfs to breaks for breakers.

I hate it but its true
