The Australian cricket non-official thread!

62 all out - the equal third lowest score in Australian One-Day domestic history....shared with Queensland's 62 in the "Miracle Match" mentioned earlier in this thread. Was very surprised that Behrendorff and Paris were taken off as early as they were, but I guess that is the way captains do things these days.
Yeah I thought that was surprising too, they were obviously bowling very well. WA should secure a double bonus point win (if they chase down 63 within 25 overs), a nice little boost that would put them second on the ladder.

Just a heads up, the ODI that were supposed to be played at Drummoyne have been moved to Blacktown - via NSW Cricket members email:

Upcoming matches at Blacktown International Sportspark

October 15: NSW Blues vs Western Australia, 2pm (D/N)
October 17: NSW Blues vs Victoria, 2pm (D/N)
October 19: Victoria vs Western Australia, 2pm (D/N)
October 20: NSW Blues vs Tasmania, 2pm (D/N)
October 24: 2nd vs 3rd, 2pm (D/N)

In today's non-televised game, it's a bit of a massacre at Allan Border Field - QLD made 4/351 off their 50 overs against SA.

Joe Burns 115 (115)
Peter Forrest 98 (100)
Nathan Reardon 75* (35) with 7 x 4 and 6 x 6

In the NSW vs VIC game on GEM, Victoria was bowled out for 293. Cameron White made a brilliant century, 107 (84) with 8 x 6. Half centuries to Stoinis and Quiney. Bollinger took 4/78, mostly at the end when the slog was on. Pat Cummins took 3 wickets but again - as he did on Friday, went arse up attempting to bowl his first ball.

Reardon is one of the most disappointing domestic cricketers. Really athletic, handy bowler and very clean striker but no consistency and can't make the step to that next level

Another century by Cam White would he be the most inform batsman in the country?if not who is

Great game today at North Sydney.

Weather was perfect and some excellent cricket to boot!

Cam White was outstanding as was Moises Henriques. Neville was great as well, surely making steps towards at Aussie team when Haddin hangs up the gloves.

I would encourage as many as possible to get out to Blacktown and North Sydney this week to see some quality cricket at a bargain price $10 for adults and if BBL season ticket holder - free entry!

Remarkable finish in the Australia vs Pakistan ODI last night - a double-wicket maiden by Glenn Maxwell to steal a one-run win.

David Warner suffered a groin injury whilst fielding and is apparently in doubt for the Test series.

Controversy in some "sensationalist" areas regarding Steve Smith's slips catch but the rule states: "“As long as the movement of a close-catching fielder is in response to the striker’s actions (the shot he is about to play or shaping to play), then movement is permitted before the ball reaches the striker". This is a very recently updated rule, brought in ahead of the 2014-15 season. http://www.foxsports.com.au/cricket...-was-fair-or-not/story-fn2mcu3x-1227088373426

Queensland have made a impressive 372 from there 50 overs:
Top Scorers:
Chris Hartley scored 90
Khawaja scored 85
Forrest finished with 67*
A quick fire 52 off 27 balls from Nathan Reardon
helped the bulls to the big score in the final overs

Holy heck! Backs up their score of 351 from Sunday. Reminds me of Phil Gould during one of the State-of-Origin games a few years ago... "QUEENSLANDERS, RABS! What are we gonna do with 'em?!" :)

This is the 4th highest score in Australian One Day Domestic history (Queensland hold the record - 4/405 vs WA in 2004, in which Jimmy Maher made 187).

Lots of great statistics on One Day Domestic cricket at cricinfo:

Wow Ben Dunk 229no from 157 balls. 15 fours and 13 sixes.

Highest score in domestic 50 over games in Australian history along with highest opening partnership in Aust history 277 (Tim Paine 125).

Tasmania 1/398. Massive chase for QLD.....

It was incredible viewing - Tasmania only had 114 at the half-way mark of their innings! To end up with the second-highest team total in Australian domestic history is pretty amazing. They went at 11.36 runs per over in the second half :)

13 sixes to Ben Dunk....there was a young bloke on the hill who almost lost his manhood attempting to catch one of them!

If he keeps this form up he might find himself representing Australia in T20 and possibly ODI cricket.

We are lucky with wicketkeeper/batsman stocks these days aren't we? Dunk, Paine, Nevill, Whiteman, Wade......although I think Matthew Wade might have done his dash to be honest.

Ben Dunk was last season's BBL player of the tournament with 348 runs at 49.71, and a 229 not out in a 50 over game would be pretty hard to ignore too. They were saying on GEM that selectors Mark Waugh and Trevor Hohns are at the game today.

Matthew wade has a attitude problem.
He more than likely won't play for Australia again.

God, Queensland are going to walk this in.....0/254 after 32 overs. Khawaja 149 (98) Hartley 100 (94). 1 for 652 for the day so far. The all-time partnership record between Dunk and Paine might last for three hours!!

EDIT: There it is.......Khawaja and Hartley with the NEW record for the highest stand in Australian domestic one-day history, currently 278 unbroken.
