Started my game last night, was drafted at 13 by Phoenix. I really liked the interview process, some nice touches there.

Any one else have any thoughts so far and how is your my player going?
 
I'm loving the game! But the whole no 2011 rookies until the lockout ends is pretty big deal. There is no competition for the ROY Other then me, rubio and some other scrub. No sure what will happen come all star weekend with the rookie game... I got drafted 16th to 76ers! I usually go pg but went an athletic 7"2 centre. When I develop I'll be a triple double machine! I can't get that pass first pg mentality out of me!

Forgot to mentions the lack of the rookies, that is a real downer. There were 60 other picks at the draft but they arent included once the draft is over either! weird.
 
Its weird right?! Almost like a glitch they need to fix, which is annoying because I don want to have to start again to be able to play the rookie season properly
 
I am considering playing association until the lockout ends, but that could be this time next year! So maybe just wait until the rookies that are drafted are included in the ROY calculations.
 
That would be a smart move, although I'm enjoying it too much to stop now! I like there's more of a goal to aim for, retire in the hall of fame, It will be tough and time consuming but I'm willing to give it a go!
 
My main complaint last year, and it doesnt seem to be different this year. Is that you can get to 99 overall, then there was nothing to play for game to game. I hope they can implement some sort of aging, so that you slow down or dont have the jumping ability of the younger you. But thats a while away for me yet. I too am enjoying it, it looks and plays better than last year for sure. The fact that you actually have a contract now makes a lot of sense too.

I look forward to trying My player but I won't be buying this game until I can patch straight away as I prefer association. And I am not paying for a slightly updated version of 2k11 lol
 
Just started mine 2 days ago. I'm a D minded 7'0ft Center and got drafted by my New York Knicks :)

Yeah that's why I made my guy a D minded center. It's what the Knicks are really lacking so knew it would give me the best chance of being drafted by them. Worked out well.
 
I made a 6'3 PG got drafted 11th I think it was or 12th to the Jazz. I am Scoring spec but I was still getting heaps of mins at the PG position then we made a trade and got Tony Parker so my mins at PG just went out the window. I am in the starting rotation but at the SG position. my contract was worth $1.74mill.
 
Guess who just realised that the create a legend mode allows you to play my player as an NBA player.

Now I am trying to get Wesley Matthews an MVP!!!
 
Got drafted 20th overall by TWolves then requested trade to Nuggets :D they traded Ty Lawson for me which worked out well and I'm currently averaging 11.3pts, 14.7apg & 3.1spg... We are second in west... Loving it :D
