McGrady to miss next two games

HOUSTON (AP) - Houston Rockets star Tracy McGrady will miss the next two games and be re-evaluated Friday after a recurrence of back spasms.

An MRI test on Monday revealed no structural damage, the Rockets said.

McGrady grabbed his back and crumpled to the floor Sunday night as the first half ended in the Rockets' 92-90 loss to Denver. He scored 11 points.

McGrady, who topped 30 points in Houston's previous five games, was lifted onto a stretcher and taken to Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center.

The Rockets play at Charlotte on Tuesday and return home to face Sacramento on Wednesday.

McGrady missed eight games earlier in the season because of back spasms and the Rockets lost them all.

The Rockets are already missing their other star, Yao Ming, who had surgery last month to remove an infection from his left big toe. Yao is expected to be out up to four more weeks.

meaning that he's one of the greatest players in the game currently but injuries are slowly sidelining his career, not to the effect of Hill's though.

I think he means that TMAC is starting to be made of Glass Must have rubbed off while TMAC was at the Magic hehe

What's happening to Grant is frustrating and very disappointing. Quite possible he will be voted in as an All Star again this year, but unless the soreness from his op goes away he won't be able to suit up (and it wont be the first time that's happened). Wonder if the Magic will continue to persist - can't imagine any other teams taking a risk on him. Thing is, if he is on the court he can make a difference, it's just that bit (getting on the court) that is proving difficult.
