DVD Collections :) , What have you brought lately?

picked up heaps of great dvds recently.

Lawrence of Arabia: one of the greatest epic movies of all time, i just wish i had a big enough tv to do it justice. 9/10

entourage seasons 1 & 2: initially on viewing i thought it was ok, now after watching them again on dvd im so addicted its not funny. i know its not a brilliant show but god help me i love it 9/10

dog soldiers: great low budget british werewolf horror movie, a really underrated one. check it out if you can find it. 8/10

the sting: great old classic caper flick, redford and newman in their prime play off each other brilliantly. 9/10

the man who wasnt there: not the greatest coen bros movie but still head and shoulders above most dreck out there. 7.5/10

takeshi kitano box set (violent cop, boiling point, sonatine): ive heard so many things about kitano's movies (some of you may be familiar with his recent stuff like Zatoichi) that i bought this box set to see what all the fuss is about. im still not convinced hes a god like many are, but he makes some entertaining yakuza flicks. 7.5/10

blade runner (directors cut): one of the all time great sci fi classics, is deckard a replicant??? 8.5/10

american history x: its a pretty good movie, not a masterpiece but very good. 8/10

Very cool J, some nice stuff in there. I love Entourage, it's worked it's way into my top 3 favourite shows, Ari Gold is Gold! The Sting is great too, you should check out (if you haven't already) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, some more classic Newman and Redford :D

oh yeah cheers for reminding me, butch is another ripper, ive been forgetting to pick that one up.

Got the new South Park DVD out recently. It's South Park Season 9 and the Episodes I like on this one are Eric Cartman taking out the hippies, the kids on a little league baseball team wanting to lose on purpose to save their summer, and Eric Cartman becoming one of the Ginger Kids. The one I like the most is Eric Cartman becoming paranoid over the hippies and being able to take them all out lol................

Recently purchased

* Twin Peaks seasons 1,2+3 (only watched 1 1/4 of it so far, very entertaining, they could really remake this into a very freaky show (not that it wasn't for back in 1990)

* Casino Royale - Haven't watched it yet, bought it with the ezydvd poker set

* White Noise - not too bad, but not too good

* Scary Movie 4 - The main male actor was very annoying

* The Chasers War On Everything vol 1 + 2 - what more can I say, very funny nerds

DVD that I purchased but don't rate

* Crank - Very very very bad

My fav from that box set would be best friends forever, where kenny has the golden psp. Or the global warning one, or maybe even the one where jimmy gets a boner and it distracts him quite a bit...

On Sunday I came across the complete series (45 episodes/4 seasons) of Monty Python's Flying Circus at JB. Not exactly a bargain but I couldn't resist buying it! It's about time too because my old video tapes are wearing out. This show is an absolute classic.
