Apologies in advance for starting a new thread. Priorities and goals changed quite a bit since posting the last one and several of the cards I posted in the other one I’d moved on from so I thought I’d start fresh…

…and what better way to start than a 150+ card delivery from COMC (how good is that place btw?!).

Still working my way through it but I’ll post my quaint little sets in here starting with…

2016-17 Donruss Optic Holo Set

2017-18 Donruss Optic Holo Set

The 2016-17 Donruss Optic set is definitely my favourite modern card design. I'd be quite happy if Donruss reused that design every year, whilst I really like the 17-18 Rookie Card design.
I feel like the 17-18 Court Kings/Rookie Kings design definitely took a step backwards, but I do like both years Hall Kings design.

2018-19 Donruss Optic Holo Set

Really simple, but nice base design this year. The All Clear for Takeoff insert looks great. The All-Star insert is horrible, and the rest have a weird 80s sci-fi look but it works somehow IMO.
2019-20 Donruss Optic Holo Set

Slight design change this year, prefer 18-19 if asked to choose. All-Star design much. Like the concept behind the Express Lane but looks too busy. Winner Stays is all a bit meh.
2020-21 Donruss Optic Holo Set

Another solid design. Probably 2nd favourite Optic behind the inaugural year. Only a few inserts for my Pistons but think they are all quality. Express Lane kept the concept but stepped it up a couple of notches. Raining 3s is great except the name change from Rainmakers and the Winner Stays is nothing special but improved.

That’s it for Optic for now. Thoughts? Overall great looking cards and in my case a really cheap set to collect, although the Cade Cunningham factor will probably mean it will be a while before you see me post the 2021-22 set in here.

2018-19 Prizm Silver Set

Fan of the 2018-19 Prizm. Not the best but far better than the previous year. Really like the All Day insert design, whilst surely they could have come up with something better than "That's Savage!".

First update in a long time.
2021-22 Donruss Optic Holo Set

For my favourite chrome set, Optic feels a bit meh for 21-22.
Base design is quite nice but the Rated Rookie is probably my least favourite since inception.

Adding a duo to All Stars meant I got a bonus Magic. My House design ugly teamed with a weird pic of Cade.

Really dislike the Raining 3s design. Still smarting they moved on from Rainmakers.

On the positive side, The Rookies is an under-appreciated subset and looks great this year whilst Winner Stays is a decent improvement on 20-21.

2021-22 Prizm Silver Set

Not a fan of this year’s design although it was nice to only have to track down 15 cards as opposed to 20 considering the Cade cost.

Love the Fearless and always happy to add a Big Ben or two to the collection. Not sure what the Instant Impact is supposed to be.
