I don't fully buy that reason. As the Dally M was done before the end of the year and I also believe before Hayne left for the NFL. Also correct me if I am wrong but the album card since ESP has taken over has always been the Dally M winner so why wasn't it signed off after he won or where they thinking they might do a different album card this year.

I think a card each would have been good. God knows we are not running short on Thurston cards! I'm personally not a fan of joint team cards. A few years back I added the ashley graham/ben barba try score card to the collection, and I didn't like that much! Lol.
 
Mojo pack might be what makes this release.

Let's hope it is as good as everyone is making out.

My understanding was that they are another parallel set, albeit extremely limited and serial numbered.
Can't say I'm that excited by the Mojo Pack innovation. Suppose it depends on what they actually look like.
Jersey cards are the big drawcard for me. ;)
 
ESP certainly have many ideas and credit where credit is due they always have a few new and fresh ideas with every release. This is where Select fell down at times IMO, they kept rehashing the same tired ideas, particularly at Champions level. In saying that I feel the overall collectibility and value is better with Select. I really hope this release proves many wrong, mostly for the sake of the hobby.

I have more than my fair share (x3)! Sometimes I think I'd prefer another player, just because there is always Thurston cards.

I'm hoping there is a cowboys jersey card. And I know it'll be a low end player. So it'll settle at a decent price!
 
That album card looks like a telegraph card to me. I wonder what card stock it is printed on?

And just because I don't think it has been mentioned yet; $8.99.....

I am looking forward to a Warriors mojo set though. I was also really looking forward to a Sam Tomkins LS, but unfortunately that is not happening. I would have preferred to lose the YGs over the LSs personally although it is exciting to see whether the YG players will turn into the next immortal.

He is still being paid by the Eels so therefor wouldn't some form of contract be registered with the NRL and as a result we could of had a dual or second album card.

I think the Jersey cards are a great idea if they are done correctly ....The player selection may be the biggest issue with some of the Jersey cards this year....

Some teams the selection will be justified =D>=D> but others will leave people wondering :confused::confused: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:......

The album card looks cheap and nasty :rolleyes:

As for the pricing $8.99 someone said that they expected to be sold out upon release date. Sounds like they aren't charging enough then? Hopefully next year it will be $10.99 pack.
 
So they'll be more than double the price of Traders per pack, but with the top-heavy numbered box hits and the massive low-end insert sets, are we going to get twice the value?
Box & case buyers will get their hits and fill their sets (eventually) but what chance has a pack buyer got?
