Due to the earlier release than last year and the fact it says "Series 1" on the Coles website, do you think we'll see a second lot around the same time as the first lot last year that's half the size? Like 5 away players from 2015 series 1 and 1 new player from each team?

Confirming what I posted on Page 2 back on March 17th about ratios.
Not sure if it's a scam per se, or anything sinister. Just cynical marketing sense, like everything. I'd suggest most people will grab a packet or two for their kids and not bust full boxes. Furthermore, Coles would expect high turnover of stock - my Coles has busted at least 10-12 boxes in the last week or so of them being on sale. So like anything kids get, if they get doubles, they swap with their friends. Again, doubles are frustrating, but it's no different to buying packs of cards from random news agency boxes.
My issue is if the unopened boxes are packed out in cases and the case of 4 or 6 boxes is all the same box. Then they're just selling the same figs, which would be a bit s#it.
It is frustrating, but after I bought my box, I started just buying random packets from full-ish boxes. If I hit players that I didn't get in the box I busted, then I hit it harder and hope for the best. It doesn't say you'll get a full set in the box on the box, so it's not misleading information. People might assume with the checklist on the back of the box, they might get the set, but like everything, caveat emptor.
And if you do buy a box, you know you've got 20 players to swap. So hope someone gets a box you don't have and swap with them.

THIS is why I haven't been getting Lukes.
In fact, this isn't a scam, but rather helpful. All you have to do is look for a Tamou, Idris or Croker/Ballin (most distinct hairpiece from each box) and you know if you can score a certain common or not. So example, I find an Idris in my box at Coles I know I can use that box to look for a Luke.
These are this way because they're not MEANT to be bought in whole boxes - if you do that you're ripping yourself off. All we need to do is get this out to kids, and this will help them find their favourite players, and help collectors with common sets.

I got quite a lot of Luke's with Sutton, Pearce, Jennings, Widdop and Nightingale. Didn't get any Idris with those ones, but who knows, eh?

That's about right. If you get souths commons, the rest of the box will have a selection of Roosters, Tigers, Dragons and Panthers. Maybe it's not always 100% but that looks like it for most boxes.
