The Bulls have a a ton of talent/draft picks since MJ left the Bulls. Due to poor decisions/poor player performance (and a little bad luck) they have done almost sweet FA. For such an incredibly storied franchise (in the last 20ish years) its pretty poor effort.

The 3 second rule was brought into play in 1944 to curb the dominance of George Mikan...all of the 'old school' era played with that rule!

LMAO the hole keeps getting dug deeper

Anyone give some love to Cowens, Jo Jo White and Hondo!

And these guys played in canvas sneakers with no air cushions in the sole and pumps on the shoe tongue! No modern technology for these guys.

With no three point line either you had to take to the hole more and face a more compacted defense that todays players have with more one on one opportunities.

You can definatley compare the 2 "era's". If anything this day and age the players have a massive, massive advantage of players from previous decades, espicaly the years that are refered to in recent posts. If anything this day and age it's easy to win a Championship as a Franchise player. Due to the fact they can basicaly demand what they want and the moeny that gets thrown around. Sure, team cores don't stay together as long as they use to and there is more teams around. The difference between the 2 era's is the fact that its more about the money and endorsements/fame then it is about winning.

This day and age is deffinatly more professional, that is really the biggest difference.

i had to play a game in chuck taylors and they are the worst, like playing in concrete soles hahahahah

no wonder alot of the older players had knees problems.

I agree with everything you say here, but here is a question to everyone.

How come to the Celtics were able to win so much in the 60's, how on earth did Bill Russell end up with 11 rings?

Why were there a few dominant franchises who won like 70% of the titles up for grabs over a few decades?

Why has that changed now, over the past 10 years, we've had the Bulls, Spurs, Lakers, Pistons, Heat and Celtics win the titles. 6 different teams in 10 years, the Spurs and perhaps the Lakers 3PEAT are the only perhaps "dynasties" that could be made out.

I just don't understand...

Ahh just take a look at the roster for each championship Who could beat those teams And thats being serious Jimbo.

Ed Macauley leaving to go to the Hawks was a HUGE trade that resulted in the one team that really challenged and beat the C's at the time.

Just how many blockbuster trades have we seen in the past how many years?? The Celts made 2 just last year alone and turned over nearly half the roster.

Free agency, drafting pool, salary cap all have changed the league forever and now the best payday nearly always comes before winning.

Just look at Posey walking out on a chance to repeat for the deal and money he wanted. That simply didn't happen as much in those days.

Some big names in the past have moved on such as Moses Malone, Wilt, Alcindor and all three wont titles at new clubs but over 50 years there aren't nearly as much as we have seen in the last decade alone.
