Didn't see this coming but they must have already printed them and why not make some money off them.

05/06 Fleer on 01/12/06.

CONTENT HIGHLIGHTS:
On average, every pack will have either a special insert card or rookie card!
Look for special autographs that fall 1 in every other box on average!
Jersey cards falling 2 per case on average!
Find Crystal Parallels of rookies and superstars!

Wonder what's happening with redemptions still???

Jersey's falling 2 per case???? WTF... Wanna be either a cheap product, or a sic one!!

We complain about over supply and then say WTF?

My guess is its just the retail verson and the cheap normal fleer product. That would have been the easiest and cheapest to produce early on requiring less stamping and foiling etc.

This wont effect redemptions. Ones that haven't been made would not. That would be my guess..

Chad - It's only a guess but I think Upper Deck would have had enough time from the July 14th auction/purchase of Fleer to put together a set and produce it. (Even if it meant revising one of it's own releases)

Mavs - re redemptions...this is off the www.fleerabc.com site....only a couple of weeks to get redemptions in....buy up all the old Fleer product you can!!!
"As of September 26, 2005
There is new information for redemption card holders. Those holding redemption cards should send them to the Assignee at the following address:

Fleer - Redemption Card
PO Box 2247
Morristown, NJ 07962-2247

We are pushing back the deadline for redemption cards. All cards now must be postmarked by October 31, 2005. Multiple cards can be sent in one envelope. The Assignee is not responsible for lost, misdirected or illegible cards. You are encouraged to retain copies of your cards and related information for your records. Please see the FAQ section for additional details."

I seriously doubt ud made these cards at all. I'd still say they were made before the collapse and maybe the rookies made after that? That wouldn't have been hard.

UD haven't said at all they are continuing the fleer name. They simply bought the infrastructure and rights etc of the company.
