UD 09-10 Hobby box/case

Hi,
Just looking for advice. Im thinking of buying a box or more likely a case of the above cards to break.

BOX BREAK: (on average)
- Three (3) Memorabilia Cards in every box!
- Includes up to two (2) dual swatch memorabilia cards
- One (1) Autograph per box!
- Two (2) Lenticular 3D Stars per box!

A case contains 3 hot boxes.

HOT BOXES which yields an Autograph or Memorabilia Card in every pack

Seems chock full of GU/Auto.

Are their just too many GU/Auto? Are any of them worth coin? Are these boxes considered good value. Any other recommendations?
Also does anyone know if redemptions were used in this product and has it expired by now?

My first box since restarting collecting was 08-09 Fleer Retail(should have gone Hobby!!). Got my first Memorabilia card GC-CM. Corey is OK I guess. Hobby has more hits/box. I doubt I got value, not that I'm after a profit but nice to get roughly out what you put in.

I have no Auto's.

Not really looking to buy individual GU/Auto's, although it could be cheaper. I just enjoy the opening too much !

Ive brought 2 cases and a number of loose boxes of 09/10 UD, the odds of making a profit on a case would be almost impossible(you would probably get 25-50% of your money back) . You can get some nice jerseys of MJ, Kobe, Lebron ect but the autos tend to be ordinary. There are probably 2-4 redemptions per case and they havent expired yet.

yeah there is some value its just that ud made massive auto set and gu sets,
also be prepared for a ton of base,
i have bought 3 of these boxes luckily 2 of em were hot
got some decent gu's but no standout auto's pulled a mj/erving dual gu which was pretty awsome beckett value of around $40 i think
so if you get a hot box your probably gona get 11 gu 5 auto
i still like this product havent found or heard of redemptions i rekon pretty decent value

Thanks for the great info. Always concerned of getting a great hit only to discover its a redemption that has expired. Good to know these are fine.

I think case is the way to go. Get the 3 hot boxes. Im thinking going through dacardworld. Price seems fair even with AU:US$ and shipping. Ebay can be expensive.

If you dont mind me asking, Who did you buy through? and is it recommended?

Whats an average GU from this set worth?

In your opinion what is a better value box/case? I would think the current Panini will be cheaper next year?

You have better odds of making a profit out of one box.
I would say that over half the GU would sell between $1-3 so there isnt much resale value, having said that opening a case is pretty fun getting 84 game used/autos plus the masterpieces / 3D stars are nice insert subsets. I purchase all my cards from DACARDWORLD.com.

Dacardworld seems to be a sponsor. Its how I found their site. Check them out. US based so postage aint cheap for boxes/cases, but Ive compared some prices with ebay and they tend to come out on top. If I go ahead with this purchase, I will use them. $465/case $100 odd delivery, then AUS:US conversion. Lets say $650. Then divide 12boxes is about $55/box, delivered.
Cant seem to find it cheaper on ebay. And they seem to have good reputation. Free gift depending on amount speant.

What other choices are their? Anyone interested in sharing a case?

yeah Da card world is where we got our cases from..

We got a case of the Draft Editions and the UD 09-10, not really worth it imo.. WAY TO MUCH BASE! had a swimming pool of them here for a while.

I think you're a bit of with your conversion rate - try more like about 5% on top of AU$ at most. I bought some boxes from DAcardworld a couple of months back before AU$/US$ parity and I only paid an extra AU$2.40.

OK, its settled. I will buy a case for the hot boxes. Should be a fun break. I will wait til January to place order beacuse Im not home around xmas. Will the case be delivered to my door or pick up from customs?

I think the dollar has retreated a bit, but I hope the difference is less.

Out of curiosity what are the top5 cards and BV for this set? I'd assume all autos and the usual suspects MJ, Lebron, Kobe.
