Was watching something on another channel since i was recording the game anyway, then i flip the channel over to see how its going, and like 10 seconds later ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!! Kicks, punches, chairs, kitchen sinks, it's ALL getting thrown!!! After a lengthy delay to try to restore calm, 9 filos and 3 aussies get ejected, leaving the philippines to go 3 vs 5 the rest of the game! I was shocked they opted to continue the game, but with the crowd baying for blood there might've been a riot or worse if it got called off then and there. There'll be consequences for both teams for sure, but i think Philippines might lose future hosting rights, at least in the interim. DEFINATELY a "well, i've never seen THAT before" game....

If Delly was allowed off the bench, the fight would have been over in no time.......he would have cleaned all of them up, including the 20,000 or so in the crowd. LOL

Disgraceful, Farcical, Embarassing craziness.

Goulding played his role as antagonist and drew the foul which may have got that player a tech or ejected and Kickert just had a brain explosion and dropped the dude with a forearm shiver to the throat. Total over-reaction which set of another huge over-reaction. Both teams screwed up here but their team stepped WAY over the line.

Look for stealthy sleuthing to be underway for the guy behind the fight who threw the chair and the guy who punched Sobey to be busted too. Already some pics up that he's a current player who was doing some photography for the team and jumped in that team selfie that they took. Insane.

The huge delay was a joke and to even contemplate continuing a game after that happened was ludicrous and embarrasing for basketball. One good thing was, and I don't know who may have given them the idea, the players realising and fouling themselves out so the game would be called off.

Never seen anything so bizarre.

Saw the highlights/reports on ninemsn - absolutely disgusting on behalf of the Phillipines team. Okay, yes some of our guys did over react, but when you have a team floored like Goulding was - what do you expect? There was no call for the Phillipine players to be coming off the bench, throwing coward punches to someone who can't see it coming .... The Phillipines team should be banned for this.

Thon Maker went UFC..that dude who rabbit punched him must have touched cloth when Thon went back at him.
Farcical but the only part that was completely out of control was that dude getting mobbed on the ground. Everything else was 50/50 blame wise IMO

apart from the initial 'foul' it looks to me like the first 'coward' punch/elbow was thrown by kickert? which is what got the philippines off their bench...but yeah, the philippine players definitely took it to the next level.

The chair thrower is allegedly the father of current Philippines player, Japeth Aguilar, from reading comments on Facebook articles.
