sketch cards

have noticed recently people doing group buy for different box sets and the sketch card being the prized card and they look really good ie grahmas hits in the star wars box. if interested getting into these cards what things should i look for and are some artists worth more than others. any help would be appreciated

The first link (Sketchcollectors) site has a section "Collectors Gallery" which lets you choose different sets/artists and look through thousands of examples of sketches.
That way you can find cards that you like the look of and then buy a box from that set. Alternately you can find an artist whose work you like, then look for their cards on Ebay.

Some artists sketch cards are worth more than others, just liek some traditional artists paintings are worth more than others.
This is due to how good their work is and how popular/ sought after they are.

Some things to consider:

With some products sketches are rarer than one-per-box (Iron Man set one is an example) .........even if you buy a box of a product, that does not guarantee getting yourself a sketch.

Other products will guarantee one sketch per box - tons of stuff will do this..... Marvel, DC, Star Wars, etc

Some products will give you more than one sketch card per box (Iron Man 2 for instance).
