Hi,
I have some stuff boxed up ready to send to COMC,
now i have never shipped to them before to sell,
this will be a small box (490gms) with around 60 cards in it, appprox BOOK value (5k) realistic sale value for all 2.5k

now I am looking for the best option and recommendations to send it there.

Wich one should i choose. from the list below...??
should I insure it (anyone had trouble before??) ??
do they have import taxes as australia does over a certain value i may be hit with??
Do i need to or should i declare the correct value?

If you can stand loosing all of those cards due to trying to save on postage costs then you are willing to loose 2.5-3K as far as im concerned mate.
Send it safe, and whatever it takes for those items to arrive in their destination and still for sale. COMC would certainly agree that its not worth loosing the lot for the sake of $40 extra.
Unfortunately the postal system has come to this for collectors...shame..:ermm:

I think you just need to find the cheapest method that allows you to pay for insurance up to the amount you want. I think registered post is sufficient if you are not in a rush. COMC will have to sign it, so there is proof of delivery and if it doesn't make it, it is definitely the postal service's fault, then you can make your claim. But you should study the procedure on making these claims and the documentation required.

Which way did you end up going with Karl and did it arrive safely???
Sent express, got there fine
Posted it Thursday arvo 2pm it arrived at comc the following tuesday morning, was uploaded to comc thursday morning. was the expensive way to do it with express (no insurance tho) and the fast processing option, but for the more expensive stuff i had and first time i wanted to see it there faster..
